School Nurse

Amity International School Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly professional School Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our diverse student community by delivering high-quality medical care and promoting a culture of health and wellness across the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and appropriate medical care to students who are unwell or injured during the school day
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical guidance and school procedures
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of assessments, treatments, and interventions
• Offer health education and guidance to students on matters such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and general wellbeing
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding medical concerns, follow-up care, and health-related matters
• Support and promote school-wide health and wellness initiatives, including screenings and preventative health programmes
• Ensure the school health office is appropriately stocked and that medical supplies and equipment are maintained to a high standard

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Nursing or an equivalent recognised qualification
• Valid UAE nursing license
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and triage skills
• Sound knowledge of pediatric health issues and common medical conditions affecting school-aged children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
