Description

Bristol Consolidated School is currently seeking a full-time School Nurse (RN) for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a PreK through 8th grade school in the Johns Bay Coastal Alliance Educational Service Center (ESC).



Qualifications

• Maine Department of Education School Nurse Certification (#524), or ability to obtain.
• Current license in the State of Maine as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain health and well-being of students, families and school personnel through teaching, professional development, counseling and direct care, as necessary.
• Follows standard health practices for school settings as listed by the School Health Manual and Maine Department of Education.
• Develops Individualized Health Plans (IHP) or Medical 504 for students with special health care needs requiring nursing assessment, intervention, or supervision.
• Educates staff regarding emergency measures required until medical help is available.
• Implements the school medication policy and procedures
• Provides health information to assist students and families in making health-related decisions in the school setting
