School Nurse (Female)

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled School Nurse to join our dedicated team at Samashti International School, Kollur.

She will play a crucial role in providing medical care, promoting health education and ensuring the safety of our students and staff.

This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities and a commitment to the well-being of our school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare services to students, including assessment and treatment of injuries and illnesses
• Administer medications and monitor individual health conditions according to physician's orders and school policies
• Maintain accurate and updated medical records for each student, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to promote health education, develop comprehensive health and wellness programs, and address individual student needs
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and protocols
• Conduct health screenings, vaccinations, and other health-related assessments as required
• Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, such as hygiene, nutrition, and prevention of communicable diseases
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate care and support

Requirements

• B.Sc Nursing with RN (Registered Nurse) and valid license to practice as a nurse
• Previous experience working as a School Nurse or in a similar healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong clinical skills, with the ability to assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, teachers, and medical professionals
• Knowledge of health promotion and wellness strategies
• Proficiency in administering medications, including proper dosage calculation and documentation
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential medical records
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
