Responsibilities

• Set up photography equipment efficiently and ensure optimal lighting and background conditions for each shoot
• Capture high-quality images of students, staff, and school activities while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Edit and enhance photos using industry-standard software such as Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and Adobe Creative Suite to ensure vibrant colors and sharp details
• Manage post-production processes including photo manipulation, color correction, and retouching to produce polished final images
• Collaborate with school administrators to coordinate schedules for photo sessions and special events
• Maintain organized digital archives of photographs for easy retrieval and delivery
• Assist with social media management by selecting and preparing images for online sharing while adhering to privacy guidelines

Skills

• Proficiency in photography techniques including composition, lighting, and posing tailored for school environments
• Strong skills in photo editing and manipulation using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One, and other Adobe Creative Suite tools
• Experience with color management principles to ensure accurate color reproduction across various media
• Knowledge of video production tools such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro for capturing or editing video content when needed
• Ability to film engaging footage for promotional or event purposes with videography expertise
• Familiarity with post-production workflows involving photo editing, video editing, and art direction
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents while maintaining professionalism
• Understanding of social media management strategies to showcase school activities creatively
• Knowledge of color theory to enhance visual storytelling through photography and videography
