Job Summary
The Aarambh School is seeking a proactive and experienced Principal to lead the school’s administration, CBSE compliance, discipline management, safety oversight, and stakeholder coordination. The Principal will ensure the institution runs smoothly, complies with all regulatory norms, and maintains a disciplined, safe, and conducive learning environment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Administrative & Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day school operations and ensure timely execution of all administrative tasks.
- Supervise non-teaching and administrative staff, including office, transport, housekeeping, and security teams.
- Monitor school infrastructure, repairs, classroom readiness, and facility management.
- Ensure availability of resources such as stationery, equipment, and teaching-learning materials.
- Maintain school records, files, attendance, circulars, and communication logs.
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and maintenance staff.
2. CBSE Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure 100% compliance with CBSE affiliation and inspection requirements.
- Prepare and update all CBSE-related documents, registers, and mandatory disclosures.
- Coordinate with CBSE officials during audits, inspections, or visits.
- Implement CBSE academic and administrative guidelines across the school.
- Ensure proper maintenance of compliance records such as:
- Staff qualification records
- Safety certificates
- School management committee (SMC) documentation
- Fee regulation and documentation
- Monitor continuous updation of the school website as per CBSE norms.
3. Complaint Handling & Grievance Redressal
- Address and resolve complaints from parents, teachers, students, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain a formal grievance redressal register and log all issues with actions taken.
- Ensure timely follow-up and transparent communication while resolving concerns.
- Conduct meetings with parents when needed and manage sensitive cases tactfully.
4. Fees & Accounts Management
- Oversee the school’s fee collection processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely reconciliation.
- Collaborate with the accounts/finance department to prepare, monitor, and review annual budgets and expenditure reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, statutory requirements, and audit norms.
- Address parent queries related to fees, billing discrepancies, refunds, and financial assistance schemes.
- Monitor outstanding fee collections and implement appropriate follow-up procedures.
- Authorise purchases, verify vendor bills, and ensure accountable utilisation of school funds.
- Support financial planning for academic and infrastructure development initiatives.
5. Safety, Security & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, emergency protocols, and child protection guidelines.
- Oversee functioning of CCTV cameras, entry/exit control, bus safety measures, and visitor management.
- Conduct routine safety audits (fire, electrical, building, sanitation, transport).
- Ensure fire safety equipment, medical kits, and emergency signage are maintained properly.
- Lead mock drills for fire, disaster management, and emergency evacuation.
- Ensure bus routes, teaching and non-teaching verification, and transport safety measures are regularly monitored.
- Promote safety awareness through orientations, notices, and student engagement programs.
6. Staff Coordination & Leadership
- Support in conducting regular team meetings for updates, planning, and performance discussions.
- Help in hiring, onboarding, and training new administrative staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend professional development programs.
- Support in promoting a positive work culture and teamwork among staff.
7. Parent & Community Engagement
- Maintain positive relationships with parents through meetings, PTMs, and open communication.
- Communicate school updates, policies, and important notices in a timely manner.
- Represent the school in community events, educational forums, and external meetings.
8. Documentation, Reporting & Communication
- Prepare administrative reports for management review.
- Maintain all statutory registers, safety records, compliance files, and administrative logs.
- Ensure timely communication between school management, staff, and parents.
- Draft circulars, notices, and official documentation accurately.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate degree with B.Ed or equivalent.
- 8–10 years of experience in teaching/administration, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role (preferably in a CBSE school).
- Strong understanding of CBSE regulations, audits, and administrative processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
