Summary:
The School Psychologist will coordinate and implement psychological services, which include academic and behavioral consultation emphasizing the problem-solving model, psychoeducational assessment, individual/group counseling, and crisis intervention. The School Psychologist will work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, other school personnel, parents, and various community agencies to support the educational needs of students. The School Psychologist reports directly to the Supervisor of Psychological Services.Other information:

Experience: One thousand two hundred (1200) hours internship or equivalent.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate in School Psychology.
Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets the most complex documents. Responds effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Writes speeches and makes effective and persuasive speeches on controversial or complex topics to a variety of audiences.
Mathematical Skills: Adds and subtracts two digit numbers and multiplies and divides with 10s and 100s. Performs these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions. Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of relevant and current computer software programs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical Activities: Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing.
Lifting Demands: Up to 10 pounds.
Reaching Activities: Both dominant and non-dominant hand.
Environmental Conditions: Noise Intensity: 3, moderate.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires traveling to various school sites, work locations, and/or community organizations throughout the district.
