School Psychologist – $75/hr – Flexible Schedule – Evaluation Focus (In-Person)

Job Summary

Lighthouse Therapy is seeking a Tennessee licensed School Psychologist to support local school districts. We offer full-time, part-time, and evaluation-focused opportunities with a flexible schedule and supportive leadership.

This in-person role offers the opportunity to work closely with students, families, and school staff to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and support student success. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for child development, exceptional evaluation skills, and a commitment to fostering positive educational environments. This position provides the flexibility to tailor your schedule while making a meaningful impact on students' lives through expert assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to determine students’ cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Develop detailed reports based on diagnostic evaluations, including recommendations for educational planning and support.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to interpret assessment results and facilitate appropriate interventions.
  • Assist in creating individualized education programs (IEPs) that address students’ unique needs.
  • Provide consultation on behavioral management strategies, social-emotional support, and crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, records of assessments, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case management activities, including intake assessments, safety planning, and conflict resolution efforts.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in psychological testing and diagnostic evaluation within school settings or related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of child & family counseling, crisis management, and behavioral health principles.
  • Proficiency in working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Skilled in conducting individual and group counseling sessions tailored to children’s needs.
  • Familiarity with special education processes such as IEP development and implementation.
  • Ability to manage complex cases involving social work concepts, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
