This role focuses on helping students build foundational understanding of anatomical structures and physiological processes through guided practice, concept clarification, and peer-supported learning.Schedule RequirementsAvailability between 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.10–20 hours per weekCombination of daytime and at least one evening shift preferredOpportunities for both in-person and online tutoring
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
What You’ll Do - Create a welcoming and encouraging space for students to thrive academically. - Break down complex topics using clear, engaging teaching methods. - Collaborate with faculty and team members to continuously improve the learning experience. - Offer constructive feedback to help students overcome challenges and build confidence. Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in Introduction to Anatomy & PhysiologyAssist students in understanding foundational concepts, including: Basic anatomy and terminologyStructure–function relationshipsIntroductory physiological processesSupport students in applying concepts to coursework and examsEncourage active learning through questioning, explanation, and guided practiceFacilitate tutoring sessions both in person and via Zoom or similar platformsUse basic technology tools (screen sharing, digital whiteboards, etc.) to support learningMaintain accurate documentation of tutoring sessions as requiredContribute to a supportive, welcoming learning environment
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Students with a faculty referral letter are strongly encouraged to include it with their application. Tutors may also be considered for assignment to support specific course sections based on faculty recommendations and scheduling needs.
