We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science & Social Studies (SST) Teacher for the Primary Section. The ideal candidate will create an engaging learning environment, deliver interactive lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, and inspire students to develop critical thinking and inquiry skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Science and SST lessons in accordance with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and learning resources.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquiry-based learning.
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate academic records and prepare progress reports.
- Integrate technology and interactive teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting respect and discipline.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress and development.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Cambridge school.
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge Primary Science and Global Perspectives/SST framework.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and technology for teaching.
- Passion for fostering curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
