Science Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and mathematics, and will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves developing engaging curriculum, facilitating hands-on learning experiences, and supporting students in their academic growth.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with educational standards.
• Teach a variety of science subjects including but not limited to organic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology, genetics, and molecular biology.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a conducive learning environment.
• Incorporate learning technology and innovative instructional design into lessons.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and dissections while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide tutoring as needed.
• Mentor students in their academic pursuits and assist with academic advising.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching skills.

Experience

• Proven experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
• Background in higher education teaching or private school experience is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
• Experience in scientific research or research laboratory experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, and discrete math is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,814.41 per year
