Science Teacher / Biology

• Instruction: Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive biology lessons for ISC and ICSE students, aligning with the specific curriculum.
• Assessment: Design, grade, and manage tests, assignments, and projects to monitor student progress and performance.
• Laboratory work: Prepare and oversee students during biology experiments and investigations in the lab.
• Curriculum and strategy: Develop and use engaging teaching strategies, integrate illustrative concepts, and create assignments that foster critical thinking and a love for science.
• Student support: Provide guidance to students, help with their doubts, and foster a curious and student-centered learning environment.

Qualifications and skills

• Education: A Master's degree in Biology or Life Sciences, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), is often required for TGT and PGT positions.
• Experience: Previous teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting, is highly beneficial.
• Subject knowledge: A strong and thorough understanding of the subject matter is essential.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills are necessary for effectively explaining complex concepts to students and engaging with parents.
• Passion and mindset: A genuine passion for biology and teaching, a student-centered approach, and the ability to foster critical thinking are vital.

Additional duties

• Administrative tasks: Responsible for administrative duties like question paper setting.
• Parental communication: Collaborate with parents to discuss and support student education.
• Department development: Contribute ideas for improving the biology department and overall school operations.
