Westview International Language School is seeking an experienced and visionary Science Teacher/Head of Department (HOD) for Academic Year 26-27 to lead our science department. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality science lessons across various grade levels, inspiring students and promoting a deep understanding of scientific concepts.

Lead and manage the science department by setting clear goals, developing curriculum, and monitoring teaching effectiveness.

Support and mentor science teachers, facilitating professional development and fostering best teaching practices.

Coordinate the planning and implementation of the science curriculum, ensuring alignment with school standards and educational frameworks.

Analyze student performance data to inform instructional strategies and identify areas for improvement.

Manage departmental resources, budgets, and equipment efficiently.

Collaborate with school leadership and other departments to support school-wide initiatives and promote a cohesive educational environment.

Engage with parents and the wider school community to encourage involvement and support for the science program.

Stay current with educational trends, scientific advancements, and pedagogical best practices through continuous professional development.
Requirements-
Bachelor's degree in Science Education, a relevant science field, or equivalent; a master’s degree is an advantage.

Proven teaching experience, preferably 3+ years, with some in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage and inspire a team of teachers.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders.
