We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Science/Social Studies Teacher for upper elementary to join our dedicated team. <Duties>

• Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for science and social studies courses
• Incorporate diverse learning technologies and instructional design strategies to enhance student understanding
• Apply AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and proofreading techniques to create clear, accurate educational materials
• Mentor students in developing critical thinking, research skills, and effective communication
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment strategies, and school initiatives
• Manage classroom environments effectively through classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Support literacy education through creative writing exercises and reading comprehension activities

<Requirements>

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Social Studies, or related field; higher education teaching experience preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design
• Strong writing skills with experience in copy editing and proofing educational content
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment tools
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education or private school settings
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms and library services for research support
• Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and classroom management techniques
• Prior mentoring or tutoring experience is highly desirable
