ELA Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and enhancing student engagement. This role requires expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. The Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping the academic journey of students through innovative lesson planning and effective instructional design.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, assignments, and informal assessments.
• Provide mentorship and academic advising to students, guiding them in their educational pursuits.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and share resources.
• Maintain organized records of student performance and classroom activities.
• Incorporate learning technology into lessons to enhance educational experiences.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven experience working with students in a classroom setting, preferably in higher education or private school environments.
• Strong background in curriculum development, instructional design, and lesson planning.
• Familiarity with various writing styles including AP style and Chicago Manual of Style.
• Experience in tutoring, mentoring, or providing academic support to students.
• Knowledge of literacy education, special education practices, and behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively manage classroom dynamics.
