Making the Metals Powering the World
Solcoa exists to stabilize the western rare-earth metal supply chain—powering every fighter jet, EV, wind turbine, phone, and generator. We’re among the very few companies outside China producing rare-earth metals—and the only one delivering a 100% U.S. supply of both light and heavy rare earths. Our carbon-zero process converts end-of-life magnets directly into metal, ready to accelerate energy independence and secure one of the world’s most vital resources.
We are a lean, well-funded team rapidly accelerating Western rare-earth production. We’re building a world-class team to solve this crisis.
The Role — Scrap Magnet Procurement Specialist
We’re looking for a proactive, relationship-driven buyer to secure a steady stream of end-of-life magnet feedstock. You’ll build partnerships with scrap yards, OEMs, e-waste/recyclers, and magnet producers; negotiate supply agreements; and stand up collection programs that reliably deliver quality NdFeB scrap to our plant. You’ll be out in the field, on the phone, and in the data—owning the pipeline from first call to load delivery.
What You’ll Do
-
Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers across scrap yards, OEMs, Tier-1s, e-waste handlers, and magnet manufacturers.
-
Negotiate pricing, terms, and volumes; execute supply agreements that balance cost, quality, and reliability.
-
Design and launch collection programs (bins, pick-up schedules, packaging/labeling) that minimize contamination and logistics cost.
-
Audit incoming material quality (alloys, coatings, adhesives), track KPIs (volume, yield, cost/ton), and drive corrective actions.
-
Coordinate logistics with carriers and Solcoa operations; ensure compliant shipping/handling of magnetized materials.
-
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting in CRM; report market intel on scrap availability, competitors, and price trends.
-
Represent Solcoa at industry events; cultivate long-term, trusted partnerships.
