Screen Print Press Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Screen Print Press Operator to join our vibrant manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining screen printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials. Your expertise will ensure precise color matching, efficient workflow, and consistent product quality. Duties

• Set up and operate various screen printing presses, including manual and automated systems, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
• Prepare screens, inks, and substrates by performing prepress tasks such as color management, layout design, and registration adjustments.
• Conduct thorough quality control checks throughout the printing process to ensure color accuracy, sharpness, and adherence to specifications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to screen alignment, ink consistency, or press mechanics promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance; operate CNC machinery if required for custom parts or fixtures.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and prepress teams to interpret artwork files created in Adobe Creative Suite or similar software for accurate reproduction.
• Manage inventory of inks, screens, and other supplies; operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely when needed.

Skills

• Proven experience in screen printing with a strong understanding of prepress processes and color management techniques.
• Proficiency in graphic design principles, typography, layout design, and print advertising standards.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for preparing artwork files.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to flexo presses, CNC machining, or other printing technologies is a plus.
• Ability to operate machinery such as flexo presses or CNC equipment with precision and safety awareness.
• Strong attention to detail for quality control inspections and color accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
• Valid certification or experience operating forklifts; familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
