Duties

• Operate and maintain screen printing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
• Prepare screens, inks, and substrates before printing runs, following detailed specifications.
• Set up printing stations efficiently, including aligning screens and calibrating colors to achieve accurate results.
• Monitor production processes closely, making adjustments as needed to maintain consistency across batches.
• Conduct quality control checks on finished products, inspecting for color accuracy, registration, and overall print quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards and best practices in equipment handling.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with machinery or print defects promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with design teams to understand project requirements and ensure the final product aligns with artistic vision.
• Keep detailed records of production runs, ink formulations, and maintenance activities for accountability and continuous improvement.

Experience

• Proven experience operating screen printing equipment in a commercial or artistic setting.
• Strong understanding of color theory, ink mixing, and substrate compatibility to produce vibrant, durable prints.
• Familiarity with digital design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Creative Suite tools for preparing artwork files.
• Knowledge of graphic design principles including typography, layout design, and visual composition.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings or digital art files for accurate reproduction on various materials.
• Basic understanding of related skills like photography, motion graphics (Adobe After Effects), 3D animation (Maya), CAD or SketchUp is a plus but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance throughout the production process.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
