The Scrum Master is a servant-leader responsible for facilitating the Scrum framework within one or more development teams, enabling them to self-organize, collaborate, and deliver high-value products effectively within the FinTech domain. This role focuses on removing impediments, protecting the team from distractions, and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.

The difference you will make:

  • Facilitate all Scrum events (sprint planning, daily stand-up, sprint review, sprint retrospective) ensuring they are productive and time boxed.
  • Guide the development team towards self-organization and cross-functionality.
  • Identify, track, and remove impediments that hinder the team's progress.
  • Coach the development team and Product Owner on Scrum principles and practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Shield the team from external interference and distractions.
  • Foster a healthy working relationship between the Product Owner and the development team.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, or a related field. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, facilitating Agile development teams. Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Basic knowledge of software development processes.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus.
  • Servant-leadership mindset.
  • Ability to create a safe and trusting environment.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
  • Self-learner with a positive attitude.
