Scrum Master

Description:

Concept Solutions is seeking a Scrum Master to fosters an effective and productive working environment for Agile teams supporting the FAA’s ITIPSS I&O program. This position is responsible for facilitating Scrum events, coaching teams to improve workflows and agility, removing impediments, and supporting Product Owners in backlog management and sprint planning. The Scrum Master serves as a servant leader, driving team self-organization, continuous improvement, and adherence to Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Team Facilitation & Coaching

Support, facilitate, and coach teams to improve their workflows and enhance overall agility
Administer team meetings, facilitate Scrum events, and guide Agile ceremonies (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospective)
Remove blockers, foster collaboration, and support team self-organization
Seek ways to enhance team performance, productivity, and continuous improvement

Product Owner Support

Analyze data and present information to the Product Owner to support effective sprint and release planning
Document Product Owner’s new and changed priorities within the product backlog
Present the team’s completed work to the Product Owner for acceptance or return
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Knowledge (Preferred)

Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including roles (Product Owner, Scrum Master, Technical Lead, Team Members), ceremonies, backlogs, and sprints
Experience facilitating Scrum events: Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective
Proficiency with Agile project management tools such as Atlassian Jira, Broadcom Rally, or other industry-standard platforms
Understanding of product backlog management, including tracking desired work, value assessment, and effort estimation
Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills

Certifications (Preferred)

One of the following certifications is preferred (expired certification is acceptable):

Certified ScrumMaster™ (CSM) – Scrum Alliance Inc.
Professional Scrum Master™ (PSM) – Scrum.org (Advanced Development Methods, Inc.)

Salary: $90K to $100K

Work Location and Schedule

Primary Location: Atlantic City, NJ
Schedule: Monday through Friday, core hours 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM local time
Telework may be permitted when determined to be in the best interest of the Government
FAA Personnel Suitability clearance required (AMS 3.14-2)
