Scrum Master

About your role:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead 2–3 high-performing software engineering teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the chosen framework is understood and enacted. Your goal is to foster a culture of self-management, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

What you will do:

• Facilitate Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles that slow the team down.
• Coach: Guide the team in self-organization and cross-functional collaboration.
• Shield the Team: Protect developers from external distractions and scope creep during sprints.
• Support the Product Owner: Assist in backlog refinement and ensuring product goals are clearly understood by the team.
• Implement Agile Maturity Metrics: Creating, tracking, and evaluating information to help the team to improve.

Key Skills

• AI Integration: Using AI-powered tools for predictive sprint analytics and automated reporting.
• Scaled Agile: Knowledge in frameworks like SAFe or LeSS for managing multiple connected teams.
• Remote Facilitation: Proficiency with tools like Jira, Miro, Confluence, and Aha for hybrid/remote teams.
• Value Stream Mapping: Mapping out the entire process from "idea" to "customer value" to find and cut waste.
• Backlog Health: Ensuring the backlog is DEEP (Detailed appropriately, Emergent, Estimated, and Prioritized).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional conflict resolution, active listening, and the ability to influence without formal authority

Experience you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience leading Agile teams in a software development environment.
• 6+ years of experience in frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, and/or Waterfall.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

• Prior experience within the payments and/or financial services domains.
• Certifications:
  • CSM: Certified ScrumMaster (Scrum Alliance).
  • PSM I/II: Professional Scrum Master (Scrum.org).
  • PMI-ACP: Agile Certified Practitioner.
  • SAFe SM: SAFe Scrum Master (Scaled Agile) for enterprise-level roles.

Important information about this role:

• This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
• You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
• This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.

Salary Range

$100,000.00 - $165,600.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company’s sole discretion.
