Senior Scrum Master (Wealth Management)

Role: Senior Scrum Master (Non-PM)

Location: New York, NY – 100% On-site (5 days/week)

Note: This is strictly a Scrum Master role, not a Project Manager position.

Position Overview

Client Wealth Management is seeking a mature, high-level Senior Scrum Master to lead execution and delivery within their Technology Delivery Management team. This is a high-visibility role reporting to the Fleet Delivery Lead, focusing on firm-priority programs and business reporting applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Leadership: Act as a hands-on Scrum Master for multiple global development teams, removing impediments and driving efficient sprint planning and execution.
• Delivery Management: Work with the Fleet Delivery Lead to steer high-priority programs through the complete lifecycle within a maturing Agile PDLC framework.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Bridge the gap between business demands and technical execution; collaborate with Dev, QA, and PM/BA teams across global offices.
• Transparency & Reporting: Build and maintain program status reporting; provide visibility to Senior Management regarding portfolio risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
• Process Optimization: Develop and refine guidelines to ensure application development standards are met while recommending best practices for a global environment.
• Data Insight: Extract and mine data to answer critical business problems and document complex data flows.

Candidate Requirements

Experience & Industry Background

• Tenure: 10–20 years of total professional experience.
• Sector Expertise: Mandatory experience in Investment Banking , specifically within Wealth Management systems.
• Exclusions: Candidates with backgrounds solely in Insurance, Government, Retail, or Healthcare will not be considered.
• Leadership: 7+ years of specific program/project management and Scrum leadership in a matrixed environment.

Technical & Soft Skills

• Tools: Expert proficiency in JIRA , Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Methodology: Deep understanding of Agile lifecycles, with the ability to manage time effectively across global initiatives without direct supervision.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to present complex architectural and project updates to executive stakeholders.

Education & Certifications

• Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• Location: Local candidates only. The interview process includes 1 Video Interview followed by a final in-person interview in NYC.
