Sea Freight Handler

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Freight Forwarder to manage the end-to-end coordination of international shipments. The role involves handling documentation, customs clearance, carrier negotiations, and ensuring timely delivery of cargo across sea, air, and land routes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures, international trade regulations, and multimodal transport operations.

Key Responsibilities.

Shipment Coordination

• Plan and execute freight movements via sea, air, and land.
• Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, and transport agents to ensure timely delivery
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations and international trade laws.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and verify Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs regulations and international trade laws.

Customs Clearance

• Coordinate with customs brokers and inspection agencies.
• Manage duties, taxes, and regulatory documentation for import/export cargo.

Rate Negotiation & Cost Control

• Negotiate freight rates and optimize shipping costs.
• Consolidate shipments where applicable to reduce overhead.

Client & Vendor Communication

• Advise clients on shipping options, incoterms, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with port authorities, inspection bodies, and logistics partners.

Tracking & Reporting

• Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, delivery timelines, and cost breakdowns.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Focuses on customs regulations and documentation

Customs procedures, Incoterms, HS codes, import/export laws

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
