SEO Specialist
We are seeking a part-time SEO Specialist to strengthen our clients’ online visibility and drive measurable growth. This role focuses on creating and executing comprehensive on-page SEO and backlink building strategies that deliver real business results.
We offer fully remote work with a flexible schedule, though preference will be given to applicants based in DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
You Are:
A detail-oriented SEO professional who thrives at the intersection of analysis and creativity. You know how to evaluate a website’s strengths and weaknesses, craft an actionable plan, and implement strategies that improve rankings, traffic, and conversions. You’re equally confident writing compelling, search-optimized content as you are building a sustainable backlink strategy or auditing a site for content -related issues.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth on page and content-related SEO audits of client websites, identify key issues, develop clear action plans, and collaborate directly with our team to implement improvements.
- Develop and implement link-building and backlink acquisition strategies to strengthen domain authority.
- Perform keyword research and on-page optimization to align with client goals and target audiences, mapping terms into a cluster model strategy to guide content creation and site architecture.
- Write and edit high-quality, SEO-optimized content (blogs, landing pages, metadata, etc.) that drives organic visibility.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are applied to web builds and updates.
- Track and analyze performance metrics in tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, or SEranking.
- Provide regular reporting with actionable insights to clients.
- Stay current with SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
- Join SEO team calls to share insights, collaborate on strategies, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience preferably in an agency environment.
- Proven success in building and executing backlink strategies.
- Strong SEO knowledge, including some technical site audits.
- Exceptional writing skills, with experience crafting keyword-optimized content that ranks.
- Experience with keyword research, competitor analysis, and content gap identification.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, SEranking, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
