We are seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to join our Power Architecture team, developing firmware algorithms for power and performance management on ML Acceleration Chips. In this role, you will design and implement intelligent control algorithms, optimization strategies, and real-time decision-making systems that maximize performance while managing power and thermal constraints. 
 
You will develop sophisticated firmware that monitors system state, makes dynamic trade-offs between power and performance, and implements adaptive control policies. To enable this work, you will also build instrumentation and tracing capabilities that provide the telemetry needed to develop, tune, and validate your algorithms, with collected data optionally post-processed using cloud-based analytics.

Description 
 
<ul><li>You will drive requirements and execution of products, process and package qualification and reliability stress tests conditions and configurations from design stage all the way to successful qualification completion.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Drive and review Design for Reliability and Design for Test to ensure stress-ability and testability.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Lead all aspects of and ensure adequate preparation for qualification including such as corner skew material, BIB/Socket, waveform, electrical bias, thermal effect, lifetime estimation.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Implement POR of process flows, workmanship standards and supervise product performance.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Perform FAI (First Article Inspection) to ensure critical goals are reviewed before engineering, pre-production and production release for Product manufacturing.</li></ul> 
<ul><li>Drive investigation and resolution on qualification fallouts and product and process nonconformance of MRB, RMA events through means of FA, CAR, 8D, and reporting.</li></ul>

Validated auditing of supplier sites, materials and processes.

Familiar with process flows, specifications, and supervising supplier performance (process Cpk, yield, qualification report, etc.) 
 
Possess knowledge on practice of FAI to validate the work suppliers are doing prior to production stage.

As a DRAM NPI Material Program Manager (NPI MPM), you will drive the latest DRAM technologies to accompany Apple&rsquo;s custom SoCs across our groundbreaking product lines. In this multifaceted role, you will be the critical interface to our DRAM suppliers as well as Apple&rsquo;s multi-functional teams (including Silicon Engineering, System Engineering, Procurement and Operations teams) to ensure the most sophisticated DRAM technologies go to mass production to Apple&rsquo;s industry leading quality standards. Communicate DRAM material status in multi-functional forums and to executives. 
 
Quickly resolve DRAM material / supply chain related critical issues by handling partner concerns across both vendors&rsquo; and Apple&rsquo;s executives. 
 
Preferred Qualifications 
 
Strong vendor management experience, including capacity / schedule planning, critical messaging, and negotiations. Handling offshore vendors is considered a plus. 
 
Impeccable ability to track details in complex material trackers / databases.

Familiarity with buck, boost, LDOs, bandgaps, bias, comparators, and op-amps. 
 
Versed in the electrical characteristics and physical construction of capacitors and inductors. 
 
Qualified to review and provide feedback for printed circuit board designs from a power perspective and associated I/O. 
 
Device physics knowledge in regard to analog and power such as transistor operation, optimization, parasitics, and performance. 
 
We seek engineers skilled in analog IC design CAD tools and analysis flows to complete the designs for tapeout. 
 
Experience modeling circuits in Matlab, VerilogA, Python, or C for concepts prior to implementation. 
 
Validate analog/power designs on a lab bench using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc. 
 
Design with detailed testability; write test plans for trim and calibration; collaborate with test engineers.
