Job Summary
 
Ramp agents are responsible for loading and unloading aircraft baggage, guiding planes to and from their gates, operating baggage carts, de-icing planes and performing other airplane servicing duties. Ramp agents have fast-paced careers and should be comfortable working in any weather, including rain, snow, and heat. The ideal candidate is capable of working in stressful situations, under rigid time constraints, and potentially interacting with customers.
 Responsibilities for Ramp Agent
 
<ul>
<li>Safely lift, load, unload and transport baggage, mail, and cargo from aircraft to airport</li>
<li>Maintain on-time connections by guiding aircraft to and from gate positions</li>
<li>Protect baggage and other equipment from damage, loss and weather conditions</li>
<li>Drive and operate ground equipment, such as tugs, cargo carts, service trucks, and belt loaders</li>
<li>Assist with record-keeping and documentation to ensure correct routing of baggage</li>
<li>Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain safe working conditions for yourself and others</li>
<li>Communicate with managers and lead agents to manage daily schedules</li>
<li>Report equipment problems and breakdowns to facilitate fast repairs</li>
</ul>
Requirements
 
<ul>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>
<li>Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent, such as successful completion of a GED</li>
<li>Familiarity with basic computer programs to assist with record-keeping and baggage routing</li>
<li>Possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record</li>
<li>Pass a physical agility test, depending on the airline</li>
<li>Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to help achieve team goals</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, such as email and phone</li>
<li>Flexible schedule allowing work during nights, weekends and holidays</li>
<li>Adaptability to changing priorities and time management skills</li>

Job Summary: 
Responsible for marshalling aircraft in and out of gate, loading, unloading and sorting baggage. Also responsible for cleaning the aircraft, restocking items, de-icing aircraft, carrying out inspections, hazard checks. Operate ramp equipment such as stairs and bridges.

Job Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Marshall all arriving, departing, and towed aircraft on the ramp.</li>
<li>Perform wing walker duties to protect the aircraft wing from equipment in the path of pushback and de-ice aircraft as required.</li>
<li>Load, unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders or baggage carts.</li>
<li>Operate ramp equipment like bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.</li>
<li>May be assigned cabin service duties like servicing the aircraft, cleaning lavatories and cabin, restocking supplies, and other items.</li>
<li>Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.</li>
<li>Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.</li>
<li>Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards</li>
<li>Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:

<li>High School diploma or GED.</li>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>
<li>Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.</li>
<li>Possess a valid Driver’s License.</li>

Physical requirements:

<li>Must be able to frequently lift, greater than 70lbs and constantly lift up to 70 lbs; Constantly push, pull up to 70 lbs; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, & bend.</li>

<li>Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.</li>
