<br>Job Summary
<br>The Ramp Supervisor will be leading, directing, and coordinating the efforts of ground, line, and cabin service personnel and the timely delivery of all services for airlines as contracted. The Ramp supervisor will take accountability for safety, operation standards, policy implementation, client relations, and financial performance for the ramp operations.
<br>Job Responsibilities
<br><ul>
<li>Establishing shift assignments for both fulltime and part-time employees;</li>
<li>Monitoring and responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of all airline ground support equipment</li>
<li>Reporting discrepancies that may exist both functional and mechanical on the ground support equipment;</li>
<li>Coordinating between each assigned carrier to ensure that service for cargo and baggage meets the needs of the carrier to ensure on-time schedules are met</li>
<li>Responsible for equipment and ensuring its safe and efficient operating status;</li>
<li>Conferring with other supervisors and managers to coordinate activities with other departments;</li>
<li>Determining manpower requirements; ensuring disciplinary procedures are conducted in a fair, timely, and consistent manner;</li>
<li>Ability to comply with attendance/tardiness standards.</li>
<li>Able to perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints</li>
<li>Ensures necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for upcoming flights</li>
<li>Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and baggage routing tags</li>
<li>Follows and complies with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier rules and regulations</li>
<li>Ensure crews are being briefed before flights on positions to take and how flight will work</li>

<b>Requirements:</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Must possess computer experience (6+ months) and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel</li>
<li>Ability to navigate electronic devices (computers, fax machines, printers, timeclock, etc).</li>
<li>A proven track record in supervising a business unit.</li>
<li>Experience in operational planning and resource allocation.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.</li>
<li>Experience and understanding of commercial issues in aviation.</li>
<li>Must have a High School diploma, GED</li>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>
<li>Capable of processing information in a timely manner</li>
<li>Must have and maintain a Valid Driver's License</li>

This role supervises ramp agents and coordinates aircraft ground handling activities including loading/unloading baggage, cargo operations, aircraft marshaling, and ground equipment management while maintaining strict compliance with FAA, TSA, airline, and airport regulations.</p>

QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p>

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p>
<ul>
<li>Must be 18 years of age or older</li>
<li>HS Diploma or GED</li>
<li>Valid Driver's License
</li><li>One (1) years of front-line ramp experience or similar role
</li><li>Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience in a similar or related role</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Strong leadership skills</li>
<li>Must have a reliable mode of communication and transportation</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p><b>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Airline or airport operations experience</li>
<li>Leadership experience in the airline or airport operations experience</li>

<p></p><p><b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct training sessions on various topics, such as customer service, technical skills, compliance, or product knowledge</li>
<li>Manage the day-to-day operations within the primary area of responsibility for scheduling/staffing, managing daily budgeted hours, and limiting overtime</li>
<li>Perform all duties of subordinate employees when necessary</li>
<li>Ensure implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS)</li>
<li>Implement a safety plan for the station</li>
<li>Maintain Quality Assurance oversight for operational issues relating to performance and safety, providing suitable corrective and preventative actions where necessary</li>
<li>Train/retrain all personnel in airline procedures, safety procedures, and company policies</li>
<li>Maintain good employee relations. Handle employee problems efficiently and effectively</li>
Client Relations <li>- Effectively communicate with senior airline management and project a positive image in responding to airlines, staff, and public inquiries</li>
<li>Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achieving company objectives</li>
<li>Monitor employee activity and adjust as needed</li>
<li>Handle off-schedule operations when the Manager is not available</li>
<li>Perform other duties as requested</li>
</ul>
