<p>The Deputy Supervisor of the Special Litigation Unit works alongside the supervisor in managing the multi-faceted responsibilities. Deputy Supervisor duties include: reviewing petitions for post-conviction relief, relief from judgement and certificates of innocence filed by the defense bar and assessing their level of difficulty; assigning cases to ASAs; reviewing and editing draft briefs prior to filing; preparing ASAs for oral arguments and litigation; overseeing and training ASAs and law clerks; advising ASAs in the Special Litigation Unit and elsewhere in the State&rsquo;s Attorney&rsquo;s Office on matters of criminal law and procedure. <b>The Deputy Supervisor shall be an effective advocate and emissary of the mission, vision and values of the Cook County State&rsquo;s Attorney&rsquo;s Office both with ASAs as well as criminal justice stakeholders and partners.
