<b>Job Summary:</b><br>
The Manager Engineering and Projects is responsible for leading both the Design Engineering and Project Delivery teams. This role provides technical expertise, project leadership, and staff management to ensure high-quality design, efficient project delivery, and client satisfaction across all commercial audio-visual projects. The position oversees engineering design, documentation, project execution, and continuous improvement of standards, while mentoring staff and ensuring alignment between engineering, projects, sales, and operations.

<b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b><br>
Leadership & Management
<br><ul>
<li>Manage and mentor Design Engineers, Project Managers, and project delivery staff.</li>
<li>Oversee staff development, training, and succession planning.</li>
<li>Approve timesheets, leave requests, and allocate resources across engineering and projects.</li>
<li>Forecast labour requirements, identify gaps or surpluses, and coordinate resourcing to meet balance needs.</li>
<li>Lead regular team meetings and foster collaboration between Engineering, Projects, Sales, and Operations.</li>
<li>Promote professionalism, accountability, and a high-performance culture.</li>
</ul>
Engineering & Design
<br><ul>
<li>Lead system design from project briefs and technical specifications.</li>
<li>Prepare and review system documentation including schematic diagrams, cabling schedules, room layouts, and technical manuals.</li>
<li>Ensure all designs meet functionality, quality, and compliance standards.</li>
<li>Provide technical input at tender stage and project commencement.</li>
<li>Investigate and integrate new technologies and solutions.</li>
<li>Support sales with technical expertise, system design, and product knowledge.</li>
<li>Review and approve engineering outputs for suitability.</li>
</ul>
Project Delivery & Supervision
<br><ul>
<li>Oversee multiple complex audio-visual projects.</li>
<li>Supervise installation and commissioning of complex control, audio, and video systems.</li>
<li>Review project designs, ensuring alignment between sales, engineering, and delivery.</li>
<li>Provide client consultation during pre- and post-sales stages.</li>
<li>Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to company quality standards.</li>
<li>Monitor and improve project management procedures, policies, and tools.</li>
<li>Attend sites as needed for supervision and support.</li>
</ul>
Interdepartmental Collaboration
<br><ul>
<li>Work closely with Sales to support tendering and project handovers.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Operations and Service teams to improve inter-departmental workflows.</li>
<li>Ensure clear documentation and communication across teams and clients.</li>
</ul>
Continuous Improvement
<br><ul>
<li>Maintain and improve design and project procedures to ensure best practice.</li>
<li>Identify inefficiencies and lead remedial action plans.</li>
<li>Stay current with new technologies, industry trends, and compliance requirements.</li>
<li>Promote market-leading design and project solutions for clients and partners.</li>
<li>Foster and promote the company, product, and brand in the market</li>
<li>Promote and live the Company Mission, Vision and Values</li>
<li>Comply with Company policies and procedures, including the completion of documents and records</li>
<li>Promote and work with Standard Operating Procedures to ensure uniform quality standards in all areas of the business</li>
<li>Other duties as required</li>

Qualifications & Education Requirements

<b>Required:</b><br>

<li>Complete Diversified online modules regarding WHSEQ, manual handling and Environment.</li>
<li>Project Management Qualification</li>
<li>Engineering or related qualifications</li>
</ul>
<b>Desirable:</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Degree qualified in ICT/AV Engineering and/or Business discipline</li>
<li>First Aid Training</li>
<li>AMX Trained</li>
<li>BIAMP Trained</li>
<li>Cisco Trained</li>
<li>Crestron Trained</li>
<li>Extron Trained</li>
<li>Infocomm/AVIXA Trained</li>
<li>Polycom Trained</li>
</ul>
Skills & Experience Requirements

<li>Strong leadership and mentoring capability.</li>
<li>Advanced technical knowledge of audio-visual design and integration.</li>
<li>Proven experience managing multiple, complex projects.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and client relationship skills.</li>
<li>High attention to detail with commitment to quality and safety.</li>
<li>ability to balance technical, commercial, and operational priorities.</li>
