Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Benefits Administrator position is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.). Maintain employee medical files securely and confidentially to comply with laws.</li><li>

Under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator is responsible for performing day to day payroll functions and required reporting in support of the Agency&rsquo;s payroll processes and cycles.</p>

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</b></p>

<ul><li>Coordinates the collection and processing of payroll and payroll related information.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintains the mapping of the GL payroll accounts and department setup within each entity.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Supports the Programs with the timekeeping process and communicates with program staff.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Posts and processes manual paychecks.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Processes requests for payroll related employee information.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Enters payroll information into company financial and payroll systems.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Prepares and distributes payroll checks and other payroll related documentation for the Agency.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Performs necessary reporting and takes necessary action related to company 403(b) and 457(b) plans. Completes GL entries associated with these plans.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Processes direct deposit payroll activity.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Participates in audits, including Workers&rsquo; Compensation and annual audit.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Prepares quarterly payroll tax returns, government survey reporting, participates in annual reporting such as W-2s.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Completes other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

<p><b>MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</b></p>

<ul><li>Must have minimum of four years of payroll experience and must possess a strong working knowledge of payroll concepts and completion of at least six college-level units of accounting/bookkeeping. One year of additional experience may be substituted for education requirements.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Must have a general understanding of general labor laws and of accounting/bookkeeping concepts.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Must reside in one of the following states: CA, AZ, NV, OR, CO</li></ul>
<ul><li>Must have experience with computerized payroll systems and possess intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Experience processing payroll for organizations that have 500+ employees using an Human Capital Management platform.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Experience working in a primarily remote role and is comfortable spending multiple full days using a communications platform (Zoom).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Must be comfortable working in a team environment and have a customer service disposition for providing support to all of the stakeholders in the Agency.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Must be comfortable working with recurring deadlines and expect to work overtime during the bi-weekly payroll processing.</li></ul>

The Opportunity<br>

Certification as a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) will substitute for two years of the required experience.</li><li>
