The Role</div>
</div><div>Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.</div></div><div><div><div>

We are seeking a Calibration Technician III that can perform calibrations onsite at our client pharmaceutical facilities in the Midwest as needed. If you prefer working at a fast pace, &quot;on the go&quot; instead of at a desk, have a passion for performing quality work, and have a strong electronics or instrumentation background, this position may be just for you! Up to 75% travel is required based on project and client needs.
This position will focus on performing preventive maintenance, qualifications, relocations and calibrations on a variety of instruments such as electronics, temperature devices, pressure gauges, centrifuges, incubators, balances, and others as found in pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory environments. The Calibration Technician III reports directly to the Team Leader, Manager, or Director depending on the organizational structure.
Expectations:

Protech Automotive Solutions is hiring for a Protech Calibration Technician Apprentice.
In this paid apprenticeship you will be provided mentorship and training to learn how to perform a wide range of Advanced Driver Assistance System Calibrations by following OE specifications and repair standards. You will gain confidence as a calibration technician across a wide range of manufacturers. Initial training is provided by Protech as well as a robust virtual support team and continuing education on new vehicle technology. The goal will be to graduate from a Calibration Technician Apprentice to either a Protech Calibration Technician or On-Site Calibration by the end of the 7th month in this roll.

<div>The Senior ADAS Calibration Technician is a highly skilled technical expert responsible for advanced diagnostics, calibration, and repair of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). In addition to performing calibrations, this senior-level role includes responsibilities such as leading and mentoring junior technicians, supporting remote diagnostics, and occasionally serving as acting lead or backup for the ADAS Manager during periods of absence. This technician ensures all ADAS repairs meet or exceed OEM and safety standards and provides expert-level service to both internal teams and customers.

The specific pay rate/salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by several factors including experience, education, specialized certifications from OEMs, and where the job is located. 
Key Responsibilities:
Calibration &amp; System Integration<ul><li>
Perform complex calibrations and adjustments of sensors, cameras, lidar, radar, and ultrasonic systems for features like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and emergency braking.</li><li>
Ensure accurate integration of ADAS components with vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.</li><li>
Conduct comprehensive functional and safety tests after calibration.</li></ul>
Advanced Diagnostics &amp; Software<ul><li>
Lead in-depth diagnostics and troubleshooting using OEM-specific tools and advanced diagnostic platforms.</li><li>
Perform software updates and patches to maintain current system performance.</li><li>
Provide remote diagnostic support and consultation to field technicians.</li></ul>
Leadership &amp; Mentorship<ul><li>
Train, mentor, and guide junior and mid-level ADAS technicians; share best practices and technical knowledge.</li><li>
Perform quality control reviews on work completed by others to ensure compliance with safety and OEM standards.</li><li>
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and point of contact for escalated technical issues.</li></ul>
Operational &amp; Customer Service Excellence<ul><li>
Support shop coordination efforts by managing workflows, prioritizing work orders, and reporting operational issues.</li><li>
Deliver high-quality customer service, communicating clearly with internal stakeholders and clients about complex ADAS issues and resolutions.</li><li>
Act as a backup to the ADAS Manager, handling day-to-day operational oversight during absences or high-volume periods.</li></ul> 
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:<ul><li>
3+ years of direct ADAS calibration experience or equivalent high-level automotive diagnostic background.</li><li>
Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, sensor alignment, and calibration theory.</li><li>
Proficient in OEM and aftermarket ADAS diagnostic tools, software, and calibration equipment.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring other technicians preferred.</li><li>
Ability to interpret OEM procedures and technical documentation.</li><li>
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency; CCC One experience preferred.</li><li>
Must be 18 or older with a clean driving record and pass all pre-employment screenings.</li></ul> 
Physical &amp; Travel Requirements:<ul><li>
Travel between multiple shop and customer locations (company vehicle provided).</li><li>
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments (bending, kneeling, standing for extended periods).</li><li>
Manual dexterity to operate diagnostic and calibration equipment effectively.</li></ul></div>
