 The Senior Contracts Engineer will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts across complex EPC projects, ensuring contractual compliance, risk mitigation, and commercial protection of the company&rsquo;s interests. This role involves leading contract administration activities, supporting project teams with contractual interpretation, and driving effective handling of claims, variations, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging technical, commercial, and legal aspects of projects while ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:

 Manage all contract-related activities from tendering and award to execution and close-out
 </li>

 Draft, review, and negotiate main contracts, subcontracts, and amendments
 </li>

 Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications
 </li>

 Lead the preparation and evaluation of claims, variations, and EOT (Extension of Time) requests
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify contractual risks and support in developing mitigation strategies
 </li>

 Provide contractual guidance to project managers and cross-functional teams

 Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and legal teams on contractual matters

 Maintain proper documentation and records for all contract-related communications

 Qualifications:

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering.

 5&ndash;7 years of relevant experience in EPC / energy / infrastructure projects

 Strong knowledge of FIDIC and other standard contract forms

 Solid experience in claims management and dispute resolution

</li></ul>Assists, supports, and delivers, under limited supervision:
Functional activities within the assigned business(es) including drafting, review, and negotiation of:
<ul><li>Confidentiality agreements / NDAs in accordance with business needs
</li><li>Client contracts (bespoke and standard forms) including project-specific contracts and MSAs.
</li><li>Drafting and review of financial instruments (Bonds / Letters of Credit, PCGs, Collateral Warranties)
</li><li>MOUs and exclusive arrangements all in accordance with Wood's group-wide policies and approval processes.
</li><li>Review proposed contract qualifications with other functions, as required, to ensure the balance of risk is appropriate for the associated services and remuneration mode.
</li><li>Negotiation of contractual terms with clients
</li><li>Providing overviews of contract T&amp;Cs and associated issues to senior management and execution teams, as applicable
</li><li>The provision of specific contracts related inputs to the Tender Governance Process
</li><li>Identification of contractual risks for inclusion in the risk management process
</li><li>Draft and develop prime contract flow-down terms to be incorporated into purchase orders and subcontracts, in conjunction with Supply Chain and other functions, as required.
</li><li>The provision of contractual interpretation advice, as required.
</li><li>Assisting with the timely provision of commercial deliverables (e.g. bonds, PCGs, evidence of insurance) in accordance with contract requirements and Wood Policies.
</li><li>Provision of contractual inputs to Commercial Handovers, including mitigations and actions required by Contracting Policy approvals.
</li></ul>Assists and supports under supervision:
<ul><li>Preparation, negotiation establishment, and administration of Joint Venture and/or Partnering agreements.
</li><li>Alignment of contractual terms, including management of change, with the associated contract remuneration model
</li><li>The pursuit of Wood's assertive claims and/or defending claims against Wood including, as required.
</li><li>Participation in Wood in industry-wide contracts initiatives and workgroups (e.g. Oil and Gas UK or equivalent) under the supervision of their manager.

We are looking for a Senior Contract Engineer for a hydropower project based in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan. The candidate must have extensive experience in contract management, FIDIC and claims resolution, particularly in Dams &amp; hydropower projects, to ensure effective contract administration, compliance with contractual terms, and timely resolution of claims and disputes.<ul><li>
