   Ensures Wood and Client Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures are followed and that a high standard of safety is achieved in all associated work

   Produces and reviews C&amp;I deliverables with little input or guidance from the Lead Engineer, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the scope of work prior to issue. Such deliverables including but not limited to the following:

    The design basis, instrument schedules/index, sizing calculations and instrument datasheets (control valve, relief valves, flow / pressure / level instruments, cable, etc), Control &amp; Shutdown System Philosophies, etc.

    Preparation and development of enquiry packages including Specifications, Datasheets, Request for Quotation and Technical Bid Evaluation.

   Prepares and develops material take off for the I&amp;C discipline

   Assist in performing managerial tasks as requested, such as assigning tasks to engineers; planning and coordinating portions of the engineering work; preparing scopes, schedules, and budgets; attending project meetings; and developing lesser-experienced technical professionals
  </li>

   May serve as the Lead Engineer and/or discipline technical authority when required on small to medium complexity projects. In such capacity will take responsibility and ownership for cost, schedule, resource allocation and risk.

   Provide piping input to tenders and project estimates in the development of method statements, deliverable lists, manhours, CTRs and risk
  </li>

   May supervise a small work group consisting of engineers and designers with some coaching from Lead Engineer, or may provide advice and guidance in area of specialisation to others

   Takes responsibility and ownership for challenging I&amp;C engineering tasks and capable of delivering scope for an area on large and/or complex projects

  Major Job Activities:

   Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, valves, and electrical control panels.
  </li>
  <li>
   Integrate fire suppression controls with Building Automation Systems (BAS), PLCs, and SCADA platforms.
  </li>
  <li>
   Develop and maintain control logic, HMI interfaces, and alarm protocols to ensure rapid and reliable system response.
  </li>
  <li>
   Conduct functional testing, commissioning, and performance verification of fire suppression controls.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensure compliance with NFPA standards (e.g., NFPA 72, 2001, 13), local codes, and client specifications.
  </li>
  <li>
   Collaborate with fire protection engineers to interpret system schematics, wiring diagrams, and sequence of operations.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain documentation including control narratives, panel layouts, and as-built drawings.
  </li>
  <li>
   Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and emergency response drills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Train maintenance staff and operators on system functionality and troubleshooting procedures.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain logs and submit reports on station performance and maintenance.
  </li>
  <li>
   Document system changes and maintains accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
  </li>
  <li>
   Performs all other duties as assigned.

  Minimum Qualifications:

   Associate or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Fire Protection Technology, or related field.
  </li>
  <li>
   3&ndash;5 years of experience in industrial controls, preferably with fire suppression systems.
  </li>
  <li>
   NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems or Special Hazards Systems.
  </li>
  <li>
   OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
  </li>
  <li>
   Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Kidde, Ansul, Fike, Siemens fire systems).
  </li>
  <li>
   Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
  </li>
  <li>
   Valid driver license
  </li>
  <li>
   Must be able to pass a favorable national agency check (NAC)
  </li>
  <li>
   Active Secret Clearance.

   Strong understanding of NFPA codes and UL/FM-listed fire protection equipment.
  </li>

   Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, control schematics, and technical manuals.

   Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex system issues.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent communication skills for coordinating with teams and documenting work.
