Assist in cash flow forecasting and processing of payment requests.</li><li>
Represent Owner in contract/payment discussions with Contractor.</li><li>
Provide support for and/or lead construction contract negotiations.</li><li>
Provide technical, clerical, and other support for production of RFP&rsquo;s</li><li>
Perform due diligence tasks on new project opportunities and perform site assessments of potential projects</li><li>

Job Summary:
</b></p><p>In recent months, the quickly changing landscape of federal immigration law, including the substantial expansion of immigration arrests and detention, has prompted NIJC to pursue more federal court litigation than ever before. Considering this expansion, NIJC seeks to hire a litigation project manager who, together with the existing litigation project manager and the director of the litigation team, will oversee the day-to-day logistics of litigation related matters. The project manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing plaintiff searches, compliance with various class action settlement agreements, and coordination with new and existing clients as their cases progress. The person will also be responsible for supervising a litigation project paralegal, who will be responsible for managing some of the team's administrative needs.

The project manager will collaborate with legal teams both internal and external to NIJC, community stakeholders, and clients to define project scope, set timelines, and allocate resources. The project manager will work in collaboration with attorneys to oversee the day-to-day operation of substantial, high impact cases as well as cases on behalf of individuals appearing in the federal courts. They use project management methodologies and tools to optimize workflows, track progress, and ensure compliance with legal standards, ultimately driving the successful delivery of legal services and solutions. The project manager must also be able to communicate and work well with detained clients in cases that are proceeding on an expedited timeline. That project manager will eventually be responsible for supervising a paralegal.</p><p><b>

The Center for Health and the Social Sciences (CHeSS) seeks an entry-level Research Analyst to join our innovative Methods Core team. The CHeSS Methods Core provides expert statistical consulting services to investigators across the University, supporting impactful research in healthcare delivery and policy. The Research Analyst will utilize statistical programming skills in Stata, R, and SAS to perform advanced data management, analysis, and manipulation of large, complex datasets. Working under the guidance and supervision of senior staff members and faculty, the analyst will contribute to research related to healthcare economics, health services, and healthcare delivery sci-ence.<br>

</b></p><p>Michael Baker International is seeking a Project Engineer for our Highway Department in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, design, modeling, and plan production for IDOT and Local Agency/Municipal projects. This role supports Phase I and II engineering design and contributes to the successful delivery of transportation and public works projects across Illinois, focusing on Local Agency (municipal, township, county) and IDOT Bureau of Local Roads-administered projects. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to serve as Project Manager on smaller projects and/or Project Engineer on larger projects. </p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES
</b></p><p>Technical Design &amp; Plan Production
</p><ul><li>Perform engineering design for roadway, utility, and transportation projects in accordance with IDOT and local agency standards
</li><li>Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Phase I and II projects
</li><li>Utilize MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer for roadway design and modeling
</li><li>Conduct field reviews and assist with data collection for design development
</li></ul><p>Project Coordination
</p><ul><li>Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to ensure design deliverables meet project requirements
</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams and subconsultants on technical aspects of projects
</li><li>Support scheduling and resource planning for assigned tasks
</li></ul><p>Quality Assurance &amp; Compliance
</p><ul><li>Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
</li><li>Assist with permitting and regulatory coordination as needed
</li></ul><p>Client Interaction
</p><ul><li>Participate in client meetings as a technical resource
</li><li>Maintain professional communication with clients and stakeholders

</li></ul><p><b>EXPERIENCE
</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of 7+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
</li><li>Project experience should include:
<ul><li>Transportation and roadway improvements
</li><li>Utility infrastructure upgrades
</li><li>Public works or municipal projects
</li></ul></li><li>Experience with IDOT Bureau of Local Roads and Illinois local agency projects required
</li><li>Experience with Illinois Tollway (ISTHA) projects is a plus
</li></ul><p><b>EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering required
</li><li>Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within six months preferred

</b></p><p>The approximate compensation range for this position is $94,181 to $135,973. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.

</b></h2><ul><li>Managing day-to-day construction management/construction inspection operations on-site, including oversight of construction contractor operations.
</li><li>This position will be on-site and requires a high level of construction engineering management experience.
</li><li>This role may manage one or more construction/field engineers.
</li><li>Performing observation of field testing and commissioning.
</li><li>Verifying that quality standards and project deadlines are met.
</li><li>Driving and ensuring contractor deliverables are met.

</li><li>Construction contract administration, including pay requisitions, change orders, and correspondence from pre-construction through closeout.

</b></h2><p><b>Required Qualifications

</li><li>7+ years of related construction inspection experience in a supervisory capacity
</li><li>Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), or Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH) experience is strongly preferred.
</li><li>OSHA 10 hr certification or ability to obtain.
</li><li>Excellent English language skills, written and verbal.
</li><li>Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel) etc.
