Position Summary:</b></p><p>
The Assistant Director of Annual Giving supports the advancement of Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Central Virginia&rsquo;s mission and is an integral member of the resource development team. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving has an ability to act as general support in all areas of fundraising and should have a welcoming phone presence to receive donor inquiries. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving supports the implementation of special events and management of special event committees, along with general fundraising and stewardship events. The role includes proposal, newsletter, annual report, or additional letter writing support. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving must be able to multitask with a positive attitude.</p><p>
The Assistant Director of Annual Giving needs excellent writing, editing, and problem-solving skills, experience in digital communications, knowledge of specialized software, and experience in fundraising strategy and implementation. Any specialized training in donor management software is highly desirable, along with graphic design and video editing skills. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving reports to the Director of Annual Giving.</p><p><b>
Position Description:</b></p><ul><li>
Support the implementation of purposeful and mission-centered fundraising events through collaboration with Club stakeholders to manage pre- and post-event donor cultivation, acknowledgement and stewardship, committee management, coordinating function space and vendors, designing content for event communications, and event day logistics.</li><li>
Work with the chief development officer to administer the Club&rsquo;s tax credit program, coordinate paperwork, and serve as liaison with donor third-party financial representatives/wealth managers.</li><li>
Conceptualize and produce meaningful and mission-centered stewardship activities and develop personalized stewardship plans.</li><li>
Maintain specialized databases, compose correspondence, and research prospective donors.</li><li>
Assist with writing and assembling mailings, solicitations, newsletters, annual reports, impact reports, and other materials for donor audiences.</li><li>
Assist with donor and campaign management and tracking.</li><li>
Manage third-party event and in-kind donation requests, involving appropriate staff.</li><li>
Communicate with donors, volunteers, and vendors via phone, email, and in person.</li><li>
Schedule and coordinate volunteer board and committee meetings and distribute materials for meetings as needed or requested.</li><li>
Assist with accepting, recording, and responding to donations.</li><li>
Integrate digital fundraising platforms with special events, stewardship, and individual giving.</li><li>
Make occasional presentations to community groups and individuals on behalf of the mission.</li><li>
Create and support opportunities, systems, and expectations that promote a human-centered organizational culture.</li><li>

Grateful Patient Program Implementation &ndash; creates acquisition and retention grateful patient mailings from the patient census and foundation database on a semiannual basis. Assists in making presentations to recognized team members and improve awareness of the program to CentraState department heads, managers, and team members.</li><li>
Produces timely stewardship reports to donors &ndash; provides information and updates relative to donors chosen area of giving and updates on CentraState (annual report). Maintains information on donors to offer them opportunities to further engage with our cause.</li><li>
