<div>The Director of Purchasing and Material Control is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day aspects of the Company's sourcing, purchasing and material management. This role ensures a cost-effective and reliable supply chain that meets organizational goals, minimizes expenses, and supports timely work flow.

Responsibilities and Duties

<li>Develop and implement overarching purchasing and materials management strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the company's financial and operational goals.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, support contract negotiations to secure optimal pricing and terms, and continuously evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, and delivery.</li>

Skills and Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. An MBA or professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP) can be a plus.

Experience: 7 to 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, purchasing, and material control, with several years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Technical skills: Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and procurement software is essential.

Analytical skills: Strong ability to analyze data, forecast trends, and make informed purchasing decisions.

The Director of Purchasing plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping and executing the company&rsquo;s purchasing strategy to drive operational excellence, cost management, and vendor performance. This role is responsible for overseeing all purchasing functions, including budget management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, inventory planning, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration to support large-scale new home construction projects. You will work closely with vendors, site teams, design and architectural groups, finance, and executive leadership to align purchasing strategies with business objectives, ensure quality standards, and support profitable growth.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Cost Control &amp; Budget Management: Monitor and control construction and vertical costs versus budget; report variances and manage cost-saving initiatives. Lead cost estimation for large-scale developments including new home models, clubhouses, and amenity projects.
