The Environmental, Health &amp; Safety (EHS) Professional will lead safety and compliance initiatives at our client&rsquo;s data centers. This role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety for employees, contractors, and visitors. Essential Skills:
Policy and Program Development:<ul><li>
Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and programs tailored to data center operations and construction environments.</li><li>
Ensure alignment of EHS initiatives with organizational objectives and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</li></ul>
Training and Development:<ul><li>
Organize, conduct, and oversee safety training programs for employees and contractors, educating them on necessary safety protocols, emergency response, hazardous materials, and safe work practices.</li><li>
Periodically evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed to address the evolving needs of data centers and construction environments.</li></ul>
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:<ul><li>
Conduct hazard analyses, risk assessments, and site inspections to identify potential safety concerns</li><li>
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including emergency response plans tailored to construction-related incidents and data center-specific risks such as high-voltage equipment, battery storage systems, HVAC, and confined space work.</li></ul>
Incident Management:<ul><li>
Investigate and document workplace accidents, near-misses, or other incidents in both construction and data center operations.</li><li>
Collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions and reduce the recurrence of safety incidents.</li><li>
Conduct root cause analyses and ensure proper incident reporting to leadership and regulatory agencies.</li></ul>
Regulatory Compliance:<ul><li>
Stay updated with EHS regulations and industry standards specific to both construction and data centers.</li><li>
Ensure all company operations and activities comply with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant safety standards.</li><li>
Prepare for and lead audits from regulatory agencies.</li></ul>
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:<ul><li>
Track, analyze, and report on EHS metrics to monitor safety performance, identify trends, and implement improvements.</li><li>
Provide regular reports to senior management with recommendations based on analysis.</li></ul>
Sustainability &amp; Environmental Compliance:<ul><li>
Monitor environmental impact, including waste management, air quality, and energy efficiency initiatives to ensure sustainability and regulatory compliance.</li></ul>
Stakeholder Engagement:<ul><li>
Engage with employees at all levels to promote and develop a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.</li><li>
Collaborate with operations, security, maintenance teams, external stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure construction projects and data center operations meet all safety and environmental standards.</li></ul> 
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (Master&rsquo;s degree or professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OHST are a plus).</li><li>
5&ndash;10 years of experience in an EHS role, with prior managerial or leadership experience.</li><li>
Experience in data centers, critical facilities, construction, or industrial environments preferred.</li><li>
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant safety standards.</li><li>
OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification experience is REQUIRED.</li><li>
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships across teams and stakeholders.</li><li>
Analytical mindset with proven ability to identify trends, implement improvements, and manage crisis or emergency situations.</li><li>
Experience with contractor safety programs and vendor management.</li><li>

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage EHS operations for basebuild activities of a high-rise project.
Develop, implement, and monitor EHS plans, SOPs, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, NBC norms, and client-defined EHS standards.
Drive zero-incident culture through audits, inspections, toolbox talks, and safety trainings.
Manage and mentor the site safety team.
Coordinate with construction teams, consultants, and contractors to close safety observations.
Monitor high-risk activities including work at height, lifting operations, formwork, and PEB installations.
Maintain EHS documentation, incident reporting, and corrective action tracking. 
Key Requirements
8&ndash;10 years of EHS experience in high-rise construction projects.
Mandatory exposure to 30-storey+ greenfield projects.
PEB structure experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of statutory safety norms, NBC, and construction EHS practices.
