Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, using appropriate designated engagement techniques.</li><li>Responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, and ancillary areasto include, but notlimited to, bathrooms, public areas, corridors, medication storage rooms as directed and any other areas that may require attention using designated and appropriate chemicals and cleaning procedures.</li><li>Accesses and uses all departmentrelated technology systems such as, but not limited to, the Bed Management systems.</li><li>Replenishessupplies as needed, removes bio-medical waste, trash, and soiled linen asrequired daily and changes cubicle/window curtains as needed.</li><li>Completes patient room and bathroom cleaning daily to accommodate discharges/admissions and overall cleanliness standards utilizing the approved proceduresfor patient room cleaning to include Bed Managementsystems where applicable.</li><li>Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge ofthe health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing.</li><li>Adheres to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety.</li><li>Operates UV disinfection machine as needed or according to policy.</li><li>Actively participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including, but not limited to, initiatives to improve Customer Experience and cleanliness metrics.</li><li>Follows all infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard &amp; isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</li><li>Recognizes and adheres to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA).</li><li>Assistsin onboarding new Environmental Services Technician I and II&rsquo;s asrequested.</li><li>Reports unsafe situations and turnsin Engineering Service Requestsforrepair.</li><li>Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.</li><li>Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.</li></ul>

The EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Responsible for transporting regular waste, soiled linen, weighing and recording clean linen, bio-hazardous waste, recycling waste, maintenance of trash containers, and performing routine manual tasks inside hospital and operate trash dumpsters, scales, and package bio-waste for shipping.</div>
Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

The Environmental Service Technician is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling from one facility to another without assistance. Respond to and initiate communication by phone, handheld radios, pagers etc.</div>
Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING</b></div><div></div><div><br>
1. One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.<br>
2. High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.<br>
3. Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.</div><br>

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $25.83. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.</div><br>
