About the Role 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical HSE Officer (Roads O&amp;M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance in our roads operations and maintenance projects.<ul><li>
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures for roads operations and maintenance projects</li><li>
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions</li><li>
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing comprehensive reports and recommending preventive measures</li><li>
Provide HSE training and guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors on site</li><li>
Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards, particularly those applicable to Qatar</li><li>
Develop and maintain environmental management systems to minimize the environmental impact of road maintenance activities</li><li>
Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution</li><li>
Prepare and present HSE performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement</li><li>
Manage and maintain HSE documentation, including permits, certifications, and training records</li><li>
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging HSE trends in roads operations and maintenance</li></ul> 
What do we need from you 
<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field</li><li>
NEBOSH certification or equivalent HSE qualification</li><li>
Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in an HSE role, preferably in roads operations and maintenance</li><li>
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those applicable to road construction and maintenance in Qatar</li><li>
Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and reporting techniques</li><li>
Strong understanding of construction safety and traffic management principles</li><li>
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Proficient in MS Office suite and HSE management software</li><li>
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment</li><li>
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various project sites as needed</li><li>
Knowledge of local environmental regulations in Qatar</li><li>
Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards</li><li>
