Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Review new hire, payroll changes, and termination documents for completeness and accuracy; key information into HRIS database; route data appropriately to other departments as needed;</li><li>

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Essential Duties &amp; Job Functions:</b></h3><ul>
<li>Processes and onboards crew members for work onboard O&rsquo;Hara&rsquo;s catcher processor vessels.</li>
<li>Track all vessel&rsquo;s active crew list and rotation schedule.</li>
<li>Provide weekly reports of upcoming rotations and inbound/outbound crew by trip.</li>
<li>Track contract end dates, extensions, end of trip reports, and other key metrics. Provide weekly reports to vessel management.</li>

The Office of Community Outreach &amp; Engagement (OCOE) is an integral component of the Consortium. It is housed at Fred Hutch in Seattle with field offices in Sunnyside and Spokane. The OCOE is seeking a <b>Project Coordinator II</b> who shares our mission to address cancer health disparities by using bidirectional community-engaged approaches in outreach, programming, and research. The position is based at the Fred Hutch office in Seattle with the Indigenous Cancer Health Excellence Initiative (ICHE-i). The Project Coordinator II for ICHE-i will coordinate administrative, research, and programmatic tasks in support of the ICHE-i&rsquo;s programmatic objectives and the U19 CANOE Partnership specific aims.</div><div></div><div><br>
The Project Coordinator II plays a key role in advancing the work of the OCOE&rsquo;s ICHE-i team by leading coordination of complex projects, managing multiple community partnerships, and ensuring accountability for deliverables across multiple initiatives. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring project timelines, coordinating strategic communications, leading event planning and implementation, and supporting research and community-based projects. This role requires experience working with Tribes and/or urban Indian communities, and Tribal organizations with demonstrated knowledge of Tribal Sovereignty, governance, and community norms. Scope of Responsibilities:</b></div><div>
The Project Coordinator II reports to the ICHE-i Project Manager. Works with minimal supervision, exercising independent judgment in daily responsibilities, proactively identifying challenges, and recommending solutions to ensure project goals and deliverables are met. The Project Coordinator II&rsquo;s primary responsibility is to facilitate and coordinate interactions with individuals and groups to support the ICHE-i in its inreach and outreach activities within the Washington State catchment area. The Project Coordinator II will support outreach implementation plans, assist in monitoring progress, communicate effectively with the ICHE-i team when roadblocks exist, assist in developing proposed solutions, and conduct daily operational work to ensure that the overall project goals and deliverables are met. The Project Coordinator II is also expected to contribute to the ongoing improvement of ICHE-i systems and processes, strengthening the team&rsquo;s long-term capacity to engage with Tribal partners and advance efforts to address cancer health disparities. Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to produce high-quality work within a collaborative team are critical to this position. The Project Coordinator II will perform some or all the job duties listed below.</div><div></div><p><b><br>
Essential Duties</b></p><div>
1. Project Coordination (45%)</div><ul><li>
Facilitate communications with the ICHE-i team, serving as ICHE-i liaison to Fred Hutch departments, external vendors, Cancer Consortium departments and outside collaborators.</li><li>
Support the development, facilitation, and maintenance of ICHE-i's academic, research, Tribal, and urban Indian community partnerships.
</li><li>Manage project database(s) and work with the team(s) in developing and upgrading the database to ensure maximum effectiveness for regular tracking and reporting.</li><li>
Lead the coordination of ICHE-i projects, community events, and outreach activities, ensuring alignment with timelines, deliverables, and grant requirements.</li><li>
Collaborate with the Project Manager to build and implement workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and tracking systems to increase efficiency and ensure consistency across ICHE-i, OCOE, and U19 CANOE Partnership grant requirements.</li></ul><div>
2. Administrative Support (35%)</div><ul><li>
Oversee the coordination of ICHE-i, OCOE, and U19 CANOE Partnership meetings, ensuring agendas, documentation, and follow-up activities are prepared and completed in a timely manner to support program and grant objectives.</li><li>
Manage the flow of information across ICHE-i, OCOE leadership, the Indigenous Collaborative, the U19 CANOE Partnership grant team, and community partners to maintain accountability and alignment with project goals.
</li><li>Arrange meetings with multiple community partners and institutional collaborators, ensuring effective preparation and follow-up.</li><li>
Support monitoring event expenses, ensuring that expenditures are in accordance with budget, grant/contract regulations, and institutional guidelines.</li><li>
Support project execution by tracking operational needs, flagging issues as they arise, and assisting with the development of solutions, including preparing internal reports and documentation to support ICHE-i operations and grant deliverables</li></ul><div>
3. Community Engagement (15%)</div><ul><li>
Coordinate bidirectional communication and engagement activities with Tribes and urban Indian communities to align with ICHE-i and OCOE goals.</li><li>
Develop and implement a digital engagement strategy for ICHE-i, overseeing web, social media, and newsletter updates to strengthen bidirectional communication with Tribal partners, community members and collaborators.
</li><li>Collaborate with the CHE III on community outreach and engagement activities, including participating in community events, meetings, health fairs, and other community gatherings to foster trusted relationships.
</li><li>Develop and disseminate culturally informed materials for outreach, education, and research initiatives.</li></ul><div>
4. Research Project Support (5%)</div><ul><li>
Support with the development and/or review of research materials which may include study protocols, consent forms, questionnaires, interview scripts, data collection instruments, and educational materials.</li><li>
Coordinate participant engagement activities and oversee incentive distribution in collaboration with project staff, ensuring compliance with research protocols and alignment with community values.</li><li>
Coordinate efforts to document and monitor community-based participatory research activities to reflect ICHE-i and OCOE values.</li></ul><div>

</b></p><p></p><p>Working in a research team under the leadership of the Principal Investigator and the Project Director, the Research Coordinator will play a critical role in the implementation, maintenance, and overall management of several complex data collection protocols as a part of a new NIH-funded randomized controlled trial (RCT). The RCT will leverage an established treatment program to target childhood obesity (vs. control) in 240 prepubertal girls who are at risk for earlier pubertal onset based on BMI percentile 85th and low family income, both factors linked to earlier pubertal onset. Findings will inform the value and optimal timing of such interventions, including whether implementation in the prepubertal period may be most impactful due to the combined benefits of weight loss along with a reduction in risk for earlier pubertal onset and its sequelae.
