<div>Amentum is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic IV- HVAC to join our operations &amp; maintenance team.
This Industrial Maintenance Mechanic IV is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility mechanical equipment and systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Must possess the ability to make decisions and communicate well as a more senior technician. Must have the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot ventilation equipment, pumps, compactors, and fans in an industrial environment. Strong mechanical/electrical skills are required, including the ability to work safely around 3-phase power up to and including 480V. Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication.
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic IV must have the ability to identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures. General Maintenance of equipment will also be required.
Responsibilities:<ul>
<li>
Performs planned maintenance on all building equipment and related services for specific area while being sensitive and responsive to customer needs.</li>
<li>
Performs trouble-shooting techniques on mechanical equipment such as pumps, air handlers, hydraulic systems, research laboratory vacuum systems, RO/DI purified water systems, compressed air and other gas equipment and distribution systems to determine problems and effect repairs as promptly and efficiently as possible to minimize downtime.</li>
<li>
Performs preventative maintenance inspections.</li>
<li>
Develops and implements planned maintenance procedures.</li>
<li>
Performs basic pipefitting repairs.</li>
<li>
Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations.</li>
<li>
Provides support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work.</li>
<li>
Complies with all governmental, company, and industrial regulations, codes, and standards, health safety practices, and permit systems.</li>
<li>
Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and performs required preventive maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc.</li>
<li>
Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).</li>
<li>
Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.</li>
<li>
Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.</li>
<li>
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems</li>
<li>
Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.</li>
<li>
Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.</li>
<li>
Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.</li>
<li>
Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.</li>
<li>
Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.</li>

Minimum Requirements:<ul>

Job Summary
 
The Maintenance Mechanic role requires basic knowledge of General Maintenance, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic, Electrical and Electronic Systems, and Welding (TIG, STICK). Mechanics must follow all safety and GMP&rsquo;s for the facility at all times.</div><div></div><div> 
Key Responsibilities</div><ul><li>
Follow all company safety policies and procedures</li><li>
Ensure all assigned daily PM&rsquo;s are completed</li><li>
Ensure production lines are in good mechanical order</li><li>
Aid other teams (Production, Quality- when needed)</li><li>
Setup and visually inspect and tests machinery and equipment and tear down</li><li>
Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other personnel to diagnose problems or repair machine</li><li>
Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts</li><li>
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings gears, and other parts of machinery</li><li>
Repairs and maintains the physical structures of the establishment</li><li>

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):</div><ul><li>
Must be 18 years of age or older</li><li>
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li><li>
Ability to learn mechanical systems and food manufacturing processes.</li><li>
Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.</li><li>
Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).</li><li>
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.</li><li>
Ability to read and execute work order, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.</li><li>
Read, write, and orally communicate in English and ability to work with no or little supervision.</li><li>
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled</li></ul><div>
Preferred Qualifications:</div><ul><li>
Metal fabrication skills</li><li>
1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 4 years&rsquo; direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment.</li><li>
Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or school (Preferred)</li><li>
Previous management experience in meat slaughter facility</li><li>
Bilingual English / Spanish</li></ul><div>
