The Distribution Assistant is responsible for order selection and loading products to be shipped from our facilities; shipping and receiving inbound and outbound deliveries; maintaining inventory and quality control throughout the shipping and receiving process.

Experience in the greenhouse or fresh produce or perishables is preferred but not required. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 
Order Selection and Loading<ul><li>
Select and stage the correct product item number, quantities, and shelf life for shipment.</li><li>
Inspect product quality while selecting orders. Only pack products that meet quality standards. Isolate and report products with quality defects.</li><li>
Securely pack products on pallets or carts, shrink wrapping and labelling as needed.</li><li>
Move product to/from storage and loading dock for shipping and receiving.</li><li>
Accurately record product information on paperwork and enter into ERP systems.</li></ul>
Shipping and Receiving<ul><li>
Using material handling equipment or by hand, move products, materials and supplies between storage areas and loading dock to be loaded/unloaded.</li><li>
Load/unload, inspect and put away shipments of materials and supplies.</li><li>
Inspect incoming shipments for quality defects, like damage, incorrect item numbers, or quantities.</li></ul>
Inventory Control<ul><li>
Stock, organize and consolidate storage space, as needed.</li><li>
Rotate inventory by item number, lot code, and shelf life.</li><li>
Support periodic company inventory by counting products, materials, and supplies.</li></ul>
Operations Support<ul><li>
The Distribution Assistant will be required to act as the back up driver if assistance with deliveries is needed.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned, which may include cleaning, general labor, and administrative tasks.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS 
Requirements:<ul><li>
Working in a warehouse or a distribution center is preferred.</li><li>
Handling food products and following food safety policies preferred.</li><li>
Using a pallet-jack and material handling equipment.</li><li>
Storing, handling, and shipping products, materials and supplies.</li><li>
Must be comfortable driving a box truck and acting as the back up driver for deliveries.</li><li>
Must have a valid drivers license.</li><li>
Using computers and ERP systems</li><li>
Perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.</li><li>
Lift and carry 50 pounds, stand, and continuously walk around for a full 8-hour shift.</li><li>
Be authorized to work in the US.</li><li>
Have a reliable form of transportation.</li><li>

Job Overview
The Operations Assistant is a key member of the branch team responsible for ensuring efficient daily operations and delivering exceptional customer service. This multi-functional role provides operational, sales, and administrative support to customers and other Duncan-Parnell team members. Essential Functions and Duties<ul><li>
Customer Service: Assist customers with orders and provide solutions to meet their needs. Respond to inquiries promptly and while ensuring all customers and colleagues are treated courteously and professionally.</li><li>
Order Management &amp; Sales Support: Process orders for equipment, supplies, accessories, and rentals via the company ERP system from face-to-face customers, phone orders, and internal sales representatives. Upsell and cross-sell where appropriate to meet customer needs.</li><li>
Rental Administration: Manage rental equipment processes including quoting, setup, check-out, check-in, billing, and other documentation, while ensuring assets are maintained and accounted for.</li><li>
Shipping &amp; Receiving: Perform all receiving activities (unpacking, verifying, entering inventory receipts, and stocking items). Execute shipping duties (pulling, organizing, packing, and preparing outbound orders). Coordinate with carriers and internal delivery services for timely fulfillment.</li><li>

What you can expect:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
<ul><li>Lead loss prevention investigations (ie: fraud, internal, external) and partner with cross functional business teams to resolve open concerns&bull; Weekly monitoring of all sites to include alarm codes, key controls, physical security, etc.</li>

<li>Ability to travel, including some overnight travel to conduct loss prevention audits in retail locations.</li>
