The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Architect with a strong architectural background to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading architectural design and delivery for large-scale, international projects across the region.</div><div></div><div> 
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large, complex projects and coordinating closely with clients, with demonstrable experience delivering projects in the Gulf region. Extensive experience and a high level of proficiency in Revit are essential, including the ability to lead and coordinate BIM-based design workflows.</div><div></div><div> 
Given the highly collaborative nature of this role, excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Crucially, you will share Cundall&rsquo;s passion for creative, sustainable, and intuitive design.</div><div></div><div> 
Main Duties and Responsibilities:</div><ul><li>
Lead the architectural design of complex, high-profile projects from concept through to completion.</li><li>
Act as the main authority on projects, overseeing creative, technical compliance, general quality, and design integrity.</li><li>
Collaborate closely with the various engineering departments (ie MEP, structural, sustainability) to deliver fully integrated design solutions.</li><li>
Supervise junior architects, BIM technicians, and design team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.</li><li>
Represent Cundall in client meetings, design reviews, and presentations; build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.</li><li>
Prepare technical reports in accordance with clients&rsquo; briefs.</li><li>
Lead the production of design documentation and specifications, ensuring quality and compliance with local and international standards.</li><li>
Help define and improve design workflows, BIM standards, and quality control processes.</li><li>
Support the office managers with business development efforts by contributing to bids, proposals, and client presentations.</li><li>
Report regularly to the Head of the Department on the performance of projects against agreed project plans and budgets.</li><li>
Comply with project management, Operational (QA), Environmental and Health and Safety procedures.</li></ul>
The Skills:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Architecture (RIBA or equivalent chartered status preferred).</li><li>
Minimum 15 years of experience, with a strong portfolio of built work in the Middle East (Qatar, KSA, UAE).</li><li>
Proven experience leading design on large-scale, fast-track, mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, or high-end residential projects.</li><li>
Experience in interior design is a plus</li><li>
Highly organized, proactive, and responsible, with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure</li><li>
Strong coordination and team management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams</li><li>
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a client-focused mindset</li><li>
Proven expertise in Revit for both Architecture and Interior Design (BIM test will be conducted after the interview)</li><li>
Experience in managing design documentation, from concept to IFC and construction stages</li><li>
Solid understanding of Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and all local authority regulations, including ADA, NFPA &amp; QCDD</li><li>
Fluency in design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, and Photoshop), SketchUp; strong visual and presentation skills.</li><li>
Passion for sustainable, human-centered design aligned with Cundall&rsquo;s commitment to net zero and design excellence.</li><li>
MMUP grade A is preferable for this role.</li></ul>
