Job Summary
 Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our KeyBank communities. As a Lead Teller, you act as a resource in identifying and resolving client servicing issues, serve as the primary troubleshooter for complex problems and client service needs, and enhance client relationships with Key by providing distinctive quality service in branch. Lead Tellers ask questions and listen to clients to uncover financial needs and transition clients to a banker to have a deeper financial wellness conversation. Lead Tellers help observe and provide coaching to Tellers to enhance the client experience and operational effectiveness and are responsible for day-to-day Teller scheduling, staffing issues, and branch compliance with regulatory, security, and internal audit controls. Essential Functions
 Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
 Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions while coaching other tellers to do so as well in an in-person branch setting.
 Acts as a resource to identify and resolve more complex client servicing issues.
 Listens for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations, and then appropriately transitions the clients to a Banker.
 Assists clients in achieving their financial goals and objectives through the use of financial wellness tools.
 Attends and participates in in-person morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
 Follows compliance, audit, and security procedures, balances cash drawer within balancing guidelines.
 Manages day-to-day duties for the branch teller line, including scheduling of tellers, observing, and providing coaching to tellers to enhance effectiveness, and overseeing branch operational standards; provides direction and guidance for branch staff on operational/regulatory procedures.
 Reviews and maintains knowledge of product guides, fees, and policies to stay current on offerings.
 Supports the Branch Manager in onboarding and training new Tellers to the team.
 Work on Saturdays as directed by management
 Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
 Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
 
Education
 High School Diploma , GED, or equivalent business experience (required)
 
Work Experience
 Minimum of 3 years' experience in superior client relationship skills (required)
 Minimum of 3 years' experience in cash handling (required)
 Working knowledge of PC with Windows based applications and calculator (required)
 Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and foster teamwork (required)
 Demonstrated organizational skills while managing multiple tasks (required)

Physical Demands

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
 This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $18.75 - $25.00 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Position Summary
Responsibilities include servicing the daily needs of our membership, providing information regarding member's accounts, credit union services and products. Serves our membership with care and accuracy in processing a variety of transactions in the lobby including cash transactions, receiving, and processing deposit transactions, processing loan payment transactions, disbursing checks and completing transfers between accounts. The Head Teller is also responsible for assisting in the training of new employees in the Teller position.
The position requires proficiency in reading, writing, organization, and mathematical skills, along with demonstrated problem-solving and communication abilities. Candidates must possess strong attention to detail and customer service skills, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word.
Essential duties include addressing member inquiries, performing teller transactions, balancing ATMs, and overseeing teller performance. The role involves maintaining compliance with policies and regulations, preparing necessary reports, and assisting with safe deposit program management. A high school diploma and previous teller experience are required, with a minimum of two years in customer service. Familiarity with credit unions and financial services is also necessary. The candidate must maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to established operating procedures. Additionally, the role emphasizes a commitment to member service success and proactive engagement with members.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:<div></div> 
Responsible for implementing Carolinas Telco FCU existing policies, procedures, and systems involving teller operations and member service functions. Coordinates, directs, and assigns work. Answers Tellers' questions, resolves more complex problems, and oversees balancing. Responsible for smooth flow of Teller lines, adequate coverage, and general training and supervision of Tellers. Oversees the provision of a full range of services (including phone and mail) to members and prospective members. Ensures members are promptly and professionally served. Acts as a Member Service Representative as needed and actively cross-sells company services. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<div>
Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed, and are subject to change:</div>

Ensures all Teller functions are correctly performed and are in accordance with established policies and standards. Ensures all security procedures are followed. Ensures all outgoing/incoming mail is distributed as required.</li><li>
Responsible for the completion of teller cash drawer audits quarterly and monthly.</li><li>
Answers Teller questions, solves problems, and assists with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems. Explains policies and procedures to members. Makes exceptions for Teller transactions (within limits of authority) pertaining to cashing and/or accepting checks or drafts.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Investigates Teller out-of-balance conditions and institutes corrective procedures. Assists in finding balancing errors. Ensures each Teller balances twice each day and all monies are secured in accordance with established procedures.</li><li>
Performs Teller paying and receiving functions as required. Receives deposits and loan payments.</li><li>
Maintains an inventory of all negotiable items for use in the Teller area.</li><li>
Ensures the organizations core values are applied during communication with members and employees and are executed through daily functional processes. Make a strong commitment to enhance the organizational culture.</li><li>
Balances vault, daily. Perform monthly security/alarm tests and any additional audits required while maintaining require retention. Alerting appropriate departments of any discrepancy&rsquo;s or issues when conducting audits.
</li><li>Monitors, cash orders, shipments, and balances cash in and out of the vault.</li><li>
Branches with ATMs should Balance daily.</li><li>
Log items left and/or to be picked up in the branch.</li><li>
Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).</li><li>

Presents and explains credit union services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs. Back-up to manager on closing accounts. Orders checks for members' accounts.

Receives and directs members and telephone calls. Responds to inquiries and questions if possible or directs them as necessary. Records and relays messages.</li><li>
Performs file maintenance and account changes as needed.</li><li>
Keeps members informed of credit union services and policies, including types of available accounts, interest and dividend rates, payroll deduction options, and other related services.</li><li>
Maintains and projects the credit union&rsquo;s professional reputation. Maintains privacy of member account information.</li><li>
Actively cross-sells products and services and meets/exceeds monthly goals. While coaching the other Tellers on potential opportunities to help branch meet Teller goals.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Effectively supervises area personnel, ensuring optimal performance.</li><li>
Provides leadership to personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication.</li><li>
Ensures personnel are well-trained, effective, and optimally used. Provides instruction regarding policy, procedure, and service and product offerings. Assists new employees.</li><li>
Tracks individual employee progress and assists with performance appraisals as required. Provides support and suggestions for employee improvement.</li><li>
Assists and supports personnel as needed. Some travel may be expected to support other branches.</li><li>
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with branch and area personnel and with management.</li><li>
Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Provides suggestions for improved service.</li><li>

QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Business degree or Two to Three Years of equivalent experience.</li><li>
Strongly preferred bilingual(Spanish/English)</li><li>
A thorough knowledge of Teller operations and procedures.</li><li>
Basic understanding of Company operations, including opening and closing accounts, loans, IRA, and certificate procedures.</li><li>
Knowledge of basic accounting.</li><li>
Ability to excel in a Sales and Service Team environment</li><li>
Excellent communication and leadership skills. Training abilities.</li><li>
