 We are hiring for the role of Senior Mechanical Engineer in P&amp;F BU Liquid Food Solutions. Senior Mechanical Engineer will report to the Engineering manager and is based in Chakan, Pune.
 
 Required knowledge and understanding of the engineering practices for the design of food processing machinery, including applied food processing technology, hygienic design, general machine design, and manufacturing techniques.
 
 The ideal candidate will get the opportunity to design process modules and lines in all food categories to full fill customer orders. You will work from order intake to the delivery of the finished product. At Business Unit Liquid Food in India, we work with process solutions that are included various type of modules and it is linked to the complete Project. Therefore, you will get variation as well as challenges in your daily work. With a suitable candidate, we see this position to be able to give the opportunity to handle. The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Team Leader &ndash; Mechanical Engineers.
 
 The position is based in Pune, India.
 
 You will be required to travel 10% of your time.
 
 
 What you will do
 
 
 As a Senior mechanical engineer in Prepared Food and Plant-Based engineering, you will belong to a team of Process, Automation and Mechanical engineers, delivering processing solutions to our customers. You will work closely with other functions in the company such as R&amp;D, Supply Chain management, production and sales and you will have a global network.
 
 <ul>

 Be responsible for the mechanical and piping design in customer orders throughout the whole order process.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Make 3D process piping design, skid design and modelling in Autodesk Inventor software.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Extract 2D drawings that will be used during manufacturing.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Extract pipes and fitting lists that will be used as a BOM for purchasing and manufacturing.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Extract Frame and pipe &amp; fittings BOM and will be done costing as per BOM, costing will be submitted at the time of the planning meeting.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Assist the assemblers in the workshop if any questions arise.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Quick estimate of a layout suggestion for Sales support.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Communicate with Mechanical Design Owners in Sweden (find information about the latest changes and provide feedback to the Sweden team for Mechanical design template updates and for future improvement).
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Work with component suppliers in development projects.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Make a design of Local modules in dependently (Pasteurizers, TPCIP, Sterilizers etc).
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Make a design of BPU (Branded Processing units &ndash; Heating Prepared food and plant-based, dairy and Bev orders and Aseptic Tanks orders etc)
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Make 2D details drawings for Tanks and Vessels
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Communicate with the Production, Quality, Supply management team and engineering teams as and when required.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Engineering support to other sites on orders.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 FEA and frame analysis
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Work in the other process area i.e., Issue resolution, Audits, WCM activities and other tools.
 
 </li>

 Associates with a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in mechanical engineering

 Autodesk Inventor or any piping design 3D software &amp; AutoCAD (2D&amp;3D)
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Proficient in using MS Office software.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Good communication skills, both written and oral.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Service-minded.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Ability to multitask even in stressful situations.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Have a good experience in hygienic piping design, Skid design, Process piping, food manufacturing Practices, and Process piping.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Have a good understanding of standards/code selections like ASME, SMS, 3A, DIN etc.
 
 </li>
 <li>
 
 Have a good experience in tanks and vessel design.
 
 </li>
