 Big O Master Automotive Technicians diagnose, recommend and perform automotive repairs in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all company programs, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

<li>Perform all brake, front end and alignment maintenance as well as mechanical work in accordance with all company programs, policies, and procedures</li>
<li>Properly diagnose and repair all customers’ vehicles, performing quality control of all shop functions</li>

<li>Maintain the orderly flow of customer service assignment to ensure productivity</li>

<li>Ensure that all appropriate information for completed work is given to the counter personnel for inclusion in final invoicing</li>
<li>Utilize the company outside purchase program to ensure maximum profitability</li>
<li>Ensure the consistent execution of the vehicle inspection program</li>
<li>Achieve established service, sales and productivity goals</li>
<li>Assist in the organizing, documenting, and processing of all adjustments and core credits</li>

Job Requirements

<li>18 years of age or older</li>
<li>Minimum of three years of experience as a lube/tire/service technician</li>
<li>ASE A1-A8 certification</li>
<li>Current Motor Vehicle Inspection License (for Missouri based stores)</li>
<li>Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials</li>
<li>Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery</li>
<li>Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles</li>
<li>Ability to exchange accurate information with customers</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials</li>
<li>Ability to consistently work in outdoor weather conditions</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to comply with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations</li>

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other automotive systems as outlined on repair orders.</li><li>
Work efficiently to diagnose malfunctions and complete repairs within established timeframes.</li><li>
Collaborate with service advisors, technicians, lead technician, foreman, and parts department to prioritize and schedule repairs.</li><li>
Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure all repairs meet or exceed industry standards or verify if additional safety of service work is required.</li><li>
Address any issues or discrepancies promptly with Service Advisor, team lead, or foreman (parts, time promised, etc).</li><li>
Document all diagnostic and repair activities accurately.</li><li>
Complete repair orders and maintain detailed records of services performed.</li><li>
Attend factory-sponsored training classes to stay informed about the latest automotive technologies and industry trends.</li><li>
Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.</li></ul> 

Qualifications 
Preferred:<ul><li>
Master Audi (or German brand) Certified</li><li>
MDT Certified</li><li>
ASE Certifications</li><li>
4+ years of mechanic or Automotive Service Technician experience</li><li>
Must have own set of tools</li><li>
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools</li><li>
Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair procedures</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment</li></ul>

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record</li><li>

Additional Information 
Compensation (Flat Rate)<ul><li>
Flat rate pay with opportunity to earn in the mid $40's per hour, with production bonuses up to $3.00 per hour.</li><li>
You are eligible for our tenure bonus after six months of employment, up to $3.50 per flat hour, Bonuses are paid out at end of year.</li><li>
