Requirements<ul><li>
Leadership: Proven ability to supervise, coordinate, and motivate MEP trade partners and field personnel.</li><li>
Organization: Strong ability to plan, sequence, and oversee complex multi‑trade installations.</li><li>
Experience:
 <ul><li>Extensive experience in commercial MEP construction, system installation, commissioning, and coordination.
</li><li>Proven ability to manage both large ground‑up projects and interior renovations involving major MEP system upgrades.
</li><li>Experience with projects valued $2M+, including equipment replacement, infrastructure upgrades, and high‑complexity system installs.</li></ul></li><li>
Safety: A Superintendent is required, at a minimum, to possess a valid OSHA 30 card at all times while working on Marand projects.</li><li>
Problem-Solving: individual should have and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Communication: individual should possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills not only with team members, but also with the Project Management and the Customer.</li><li>
Computer Skills: individual needs to be computer literate and should have basic computer knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office and Procore software.</li><li>
OSHA-30 Hour Training Required as well as recertification every 5 years per Marand policy</li><li>
The successful Superintendent should have the minimum of a High School Diploma. A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree from a 4-year College or University or an Associate&rsquo;s Degree from a Vocational School is a plus.
</li><li>A minimum of five to ten years&rsquo; experience &ldquo;on the job&rdquo; is required.</li><li>

Responsibilities<ul><li>
Enforcing safety compliance (OSHA and Marand safety plan and policies) and advocating for safety is the number one priority.
</li><li>Review, verify, and oversee installation layouts for MEP systems, including equipment placement, sleeves, hangers, duct routing, conduit paths, and plumbing rough‑ins.</li><li>
Supervise the construction effort in the field to ensure that the project is completed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and customer objectives.</li><li>
Conduct weekly on-site meetings with trade partners, vendors, and others as appropriate with respect to schedule safety issues, and other matters relating to performance in the field.</li><li>
Enforce compliance with all project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules.</li><li>
Supervises and ensures the health and safety of the workers by enforcing all company, state, and federal guidelines.
</li><li>Prepare and distribute field reports in a timely manner (i.e., daily superintendent&rsquo;s reports, safety reports, etc.).</li><li>
Completion of punch list items in a time frame consistent with the customer&rsquo;s requirements and the project budget. Procore for punch list management
</li><li>Monitor and direct trade partners progress and ensure manpower is adequate to meet project schedule and customer expectations.</li><li>
Prepare as necessary trade partner work schedules and provide input to the Project Manager in preparing and updating project construction schedules to jointly ensure timely completion.</li><li>
Verification of all layouts and/or checking of layout by trade partners and the establishment of initial control lines and grades.</li><li>
Respond with clarity to trade partners with respect to questions regarding the project documents and their work. Provide documentation and coordinate with Project Manager as appropriate.</li><li>
Participate in pre-construction planning, including logistics, means and methods, bid and scope reviews, and project estimates.</li><li>
Maintain an up-to-date set of contract documents on site.</li><li>
Ensure that the trade partners are maintaining record drawings (&ldquo;red line as builts&rdquo;) during construction.</li><li>
Responsible for the organization, establishment, and maintenance of the on-site field office to project a professional image (organized, clean, signage, etc.)</li><li>
The timely communication with the Project Manager on matters regarding financial issues, safety, construction progress, labor issues, material problems, quality, code issues, etc.</li><li>
Interface and work harmoniously with respective Project Managers and other personnel.</li><li>
Manage, oversee, provide training, and act as a mentor to other Superintendent levels.
</li><li>Work in harmony with other Superintendents that may be assigned as part of a team on larger projects.</li><li>
Continue education in areas including OSHA and safety, means and methods, codes, management skills, new technology, etc.</li><li>
Maintain current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification.</li><li>
Maintain a current working knowledge of the permit process in those communities where performing work and communicate information on changes to the office.</li><li>
Ensures overall cleanliness of the jobsite to Marand&rsquo;s standards.</li></ul>
