These systems support the platform&rsquo;s habitability, safety, and overall operability&mdash;including HVAC, pumps, compressors, fuel and lubrication systems, hydraulics, firefighting systems, cranes, davits, water makers, stabilizers, and other mission-support machinery.
 
 
 
 
 The role initially focuses on finalizing project details prior to contract commencement, you will transition to the operations department where you will work across O-D, O-I and I-D levels, supporting engineering teams, ship crews, OEMs and MRO planners to ensure vessels remain safe, compliant, and fully mission-ready. This role requires broad technical versatility, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to manage diverse equipment types across a small but critical fleet.
 
 
 
 
 
 The role will initially report to the Maritime Project Lead before transitioning to the Maritime Head of Operations and will be split between the ornaization Headquarters and end-user sites in and around Qatar.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Duties and Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 1. MRO Planning Support &amp; Work Packaging
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assist in the creation and development of technical scopes prior to contract commencement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Define material kits, tooling requirements, and technical inputs for dockings, overhauls, and routine maintenance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify long-lead items (seal kits, specialized pumps, hydraulic components) and communicate risks to logistics and planning teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide technical assessments for defect reports and contribute to work scope development during I-D periods.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in maintenance coordination meetings and readiness reviews.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 2. Auxiliary Systems Maintenance &amp; Repair
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps, compressors, hydraulics, cooling systems, HVAC units, deck machinery, and fuel/oil handling systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain freshwater production systems (RO plants, evaporators), sewage systems, bilge/ballast systems, and associated piping and valves.
 </li>
 <li>
 Troubleshoot faults in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic subsystems using diagnostic tools and OEM guidance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support urgent defect repairs for flooding alarms, pump failures, HVAC breakdowns, and hydraulic leaks.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 3. Marine Equipment &amp; Safety Systems
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Maintain critical safety and marine systems, including firefighting (AFFF, CO₂, FM200), fire pumps, extinguishers, and emergency equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support maintenance on cranes, davits, RIB launching systems, winches, capstans, anchors, chain stoppers, and mooring arrangements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct inspections, lubrication, load testing, alignment checks, and safety verifications.
 </li>

 4. Technical Documentation &amp; Configuration Control
 
 
 <ul>

 Maintain equipment lists, maintenance logs, component histories, and configuration baselines for auxiliary systems.

 Ensure compliance with naval engineering standards, class society rules, and OEM service instructions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and implement engineering changes, modification kits, and service bulletins.
 </li>
 <li>
 Update piping diagrams, system schematics, and technical records following maintenance.

 5. Operational Support &amp; Sea Trials

 Support operational tests of auxiliary systems during harbour trials, sea trials, and post-maintenance verifications.

 Assist vessel crews with routine checks, safe operation, reporting, and first-line troubleshooting.
 </li>

 Analyse operational data, system alarms, and performance trends to detect emerging issues early.
 </li>

 6. Continuous Improvement &amp; Reliability Optimisation

 Support reliability-centred maintenance (RCM) and condition monitoring activities.

BGS is seeking Aircrew Flight Equipment Technicians to support maintenance operations at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Successful candidates will contribute to critical flight-line support and equipment readiness in a dynamic operational environment.
Position Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Inspect, maintain, and repair aircrew flight equipment, including survival gear, helmets, oxygen masks, harnesses, parachutes, anti-G suits, communication equipment, and other life-support systems.</li><li>
