<p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>The Operations Data Analyst supports commercial and government health plan operations by collecting analyzing and presenting data to support business decision making, ensuring accuracy, compliance and actionable insights. These tasks are focused on analyzing claims, eligibility, provider and financial data to drive performance, compliance and client reporting. The Coworkers of Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.

Position Summary
<br><br>
Extracts operations data for analysis, leadership support and responses to ad hoc data requests. Maintains operations tools & databases to ensure that it is kept up-to-date. Supports dashboarding and reporting by analysing data and providing actionable insights. Develops, maintains and enhances operational metric database tools for the broader analytics teams. Identifies and solves current gaps in data requirements and ease of access to ensure fast and consistent responses to leadership inquiries.

The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned location, subject to change per business needs.

Job Responsibilities
<br><br>
Manages complex data analysis projects with limited supervision from initial request to presenting data results ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on-time.
<br>Designs data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings and tailor communications to specific audiences. Analyzes data using various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles.
<br>Manages complex data extracts and list pulls ensuring data accuracy. Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts.
<br>Develops and maintains dashboards and reporting tools to provide leadership and stakeholders with timely, actionable insights.
<br>Creates complex automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.
<br>Demonstrates and utilizes advanced knowledge of data processing and data analysis techniques.
<br>Develops and communicates clear, concise and actionable data analyses for clients.
<br>Provides recommendations to enhance database(s) with new data sources and improved data processes.

Qualifications
<br><br>
<b>Minimum:</b><br>
BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience
<br>4 years of related work experience
<br><br>
<b>Desired:</b><br>
5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar technical role.
<br>Advanced proficiency in Python, including experience with common data/automation libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, boto3, psycopg2, SQLAlchemy, arcpy).
<br>Advanced SQL skills, including writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).
<br>Demonstrated experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and delivery.
<br>Experience designing and maintaining data models for Business Intelligence, analytics, and operational workflows.
<br>Strong understanding of data quality, validation, monitoring, metadata, and data governance principles.
<br>Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, Lambda, RDS, Glue), Snowflake and Palantir Foundry is a plus.
<br>Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end analytics projects from requirements gathering to delivering impactful outcomes.
<br>Experience performing root cause analysis, diagnosing data issues, and implementing optimizations.
<br>Exceptional communication skills to clearly communicate technical concepts and analytical outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
<br>Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Prior experience in dynamic environments such as startups, utility operations, retail, or airports is a plus.

PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The range to reasonably expect will be between the minimum and midpoint listed below. The final decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Youll collaborate with site leadership and key stakeholders across operations to develop models, dashboards, and reports that guide decision-making and drive continuous improvement.</p><p>
Responsibilities</p><ul><li>
Develop and maintain Power BI reports to support operational and strategic decisions</li><li>
Full development of Power BI including data visualization and back-end data model design</li><li>
Clean, model, and analyze data using SQL, DAX, and statistical techniques to uncover trends and drive improvements</li><li>
Collaborate with site and sector leadership to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction</li><li>
Assist various functional teams (HR, Finance, etc.) with customized analytical solutions to meet evolving business needs</li><li>
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through presentations and reports for internal and customer use</li><li>
Ability to leverage data from various systems that support our operations (Warehouse Management System, Timekeeping systems, etc.)</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Required Experience</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or 4 years of equivalent professional experience, required</li><li>
02 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, required</li><li>
Hands-on experience using SQL or other scripting languages (such as Python or R) to query, clean, and transform data, preferred</li><li>
Proficiency in Power BI, including building dashboards and reports, required</li><li>
Experience writing DAX expressions to automate and enhance Power BI reports, preferred</li><li>
Familiarity with statistical concepts and data modeling techniques, preferred</li><li>
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights, preferred</li><li>
Must be able to work fully onsite if role based out of a warehouse, required</li></ul><p></p><p><br>

   0&ndash;2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within logistics or supply chain operations.

   Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation using Power BI or similar tools.
  </li>
  <li>
   Basic working knowledge of SQL, Python, Tableau, or similar data analysis tools.
  </li>
  <li>
   Familiarity with SAP ERP is a plus.
  </li>
  <li>
   Basic understanding of warehouse and logistics operations is an advantage.
  </li>
