1. Under the direction of the Base Manager Operations, manages the implementation of the maintenance planning at the assigned base to ensure that repair and maintenance services are accomplished efficiently to the most productive and cost effective manner.<br>
2. Supports the Base Manager with the development of optimum maintenance planning targets covering maintenance efficiencies and availability at the base, ensuring reliability and performance improvement to improve the maintenance effectiveness and speed of service.<br>
3. Contributes to the development of maintenance schedules, and implements them as part of operation and maintenance planning to execute on time and scheduled maintenance in order to ensure that aircrafts are working to their optimum efficiency and capability.<br>
4. Supports the Base Manager in the coordination of maintenance planning activities in the base and interface with GAL Headquarters to align maintenance operations, maintenance scheduling short and long term, base capability communication and workload planning and management to ensure smooth functioning of the base&rsquo;s activities and avoiding possible delays and maintenance failures<br>
5. Supports the Base Manager in managing the resolution of the operational day-to-day maintenance problems to ensure a highly efficient, effective and quality service is extended to customers&rsquo; aircrafts at the base.<br>
6. Ensures that all aircraft maintenance activities take place in an efficient, compliant and safe manner to ensure a high quality of maintenance operations at the base.<br>
7. Ensures that military aircraft maintenance services are continuously available to customers so that aircrafts are operational and ready to fly when required and at a level that meets the required standards.<br>
8. Develops preventative maintenance schedules to cover all relevant aircraft maintenance so that it is maintained in optimum working order and breakdowns are minimized.<br>
9. Monitors the usage of materials, spares and consumables to ensure that consumption is consistent with budgeted assumptions.<br>
10. Contributes towards the on-going review of the physical condition of the base operational assets to ensure that those assets are in a suitable condition to allow GAL to fulfil its strategic objectives and comply with any relevant legislation.<br>
11. Assists the Supply Chain function in the negotiations with contractors providing a clear statement of work and understanding<br>
12. Maintains relationships with third-party providers, through the Supply Chain function, of operational and maintenance personnel so that GAL is able to fulfill its operational service, safety, environmental and cost targets without unnecessary addition to the fixed overheads.<br>
13. Manages the achievement of objectives by setting individual goals and objectives, managing performance, developing staff and providing formal and informal feedback in order to maximize overall performance and engagement.<br>
14. Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Base Maintenance Operations section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.<br>
15. Reviews all operational reports and takes any necessary corrective actions to ensure that all aircraft maintenance activities take place according to defined operational procedures and a timely service is delivered to customers.<br>
16. On an on-going basis, examines current operational processes to identify and implement potential operational improvements that will positively impact upon service, safety, environmental and cost performance<br>

Manages effectively the achievement of the objectives through assisting the Department Head in managing the maintenance operations &ndash; setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal &ndash; in order to maximize the performance of the maintenance staffs

   Serve as the primary contact for all site operation related aspects, including subcontract closeout with contractors and clients.

   Facilitate contract closures advantageous to the organization by providing technical and practical judgment throughout project lifecycles.

   Collaborate with internal stakeholders to mitigate project risks associated with contracts, documentation, and execution.
  </li>
  <li>
   Identify and address operational issues and opportunities, escalating critical matters to the General Manager or Line Manager for resolution.
  </li>
  <li>
   Act as the key representative of the company to clients, subcontractors, staff, and other stakeholders, maintaining positive working relationships at all levels.
  </li>

   Assist the GM in establishing budgetary controls and key performance indicators to safeguard financial and operational health.
  </li>

   Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and uphold prescribed project standards, including QHSE standards.
  </li>

   Collaborate with HR, GM, and Line Manager to develop a 6-month rolling manpower plan and ensure optimal staffing for all projects.
  </li>

   Provide direction and set objectives for team members, supporting their development plans.
  </li>
  <li>
   Submit weekly project status reports to the LM/GM, recommending improvements and efficiencies.
  </li>
  <li>
   Accountable for managing all material movements using the RM system, from delivery to collection.
  </li>

   Manage operational procedures, budgets, and negotiations with clients and service providers.

   Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; additional studies in surveying/engineering or MRICS certification preferred.

   Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  </li>
  <li>
   At least 3 years in a managerial position.
  </li>
  <li>
   Extensive knowledge in groundwater control, including strategic planning and forward-focused negotiation (minimum 1+ year).
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong financial acumen and political astuteness.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to prioritize effectively, delegate, and invest in people and systems.
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent team collaboration and communication skills, capable of influencing consensus among
