 Telephone Interpreters

 The Job:
 
 
 
 Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original &lsquo;source' language, then reproducing the speech into the &lsquo;target' language with 100% accuracy.
 
 
 You will:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
 </li>
 <li>
 Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
 </li>
 <li>
 Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
 </li>
 <li>
 Dealing with highly confidential information
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise between the service user and service provider
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>

 Requirements:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Fluent in English or another language
 </li>
 <li>
 BS/MS Degree in English Language, Literature, English Language Teaching (ELT) or TESOL
 </li>
 <li>
 Any other interpreting related qualification
 </li>
 <li>
 Must hold an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with an overall band score of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in each individual subtest (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
 </li>
 <li>
 You will be required to sign and agree to a surety bond
 </li>
 <li>
 You will be required to sign and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
